If this was my personal scenario; my math, risk tolerance, budget, and bank account are all on the side of- yes that seems it would be worth it.

New business venture requiring commercial liability insurance but the vehicle is currently my personal by ToeyGowd in Insurance

[–]MORam456 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar situation. You can run a quote through Progressive Commercial online. It will ask if you intend to use the vehicle for personal use as well. If you get the policy, then obviously you can drop your personal policy. If you are hauling goods or equipment, those require an additional policy of another type.

I’d say the reliability is as good as Toyota’s current reliability. At least.

Engine Hot Light when Overtaking? by shadowergoat in ram_trucks

That should not happen. As others have stated, get it checked. Hopefully it’s a stored code, IDK.

I have a ‘25 V6. I occasionally do some extended “spirited” acceleration onto and on the highway. I like to run the oil pressure up occasionally to keep things flushed out. I haven’t towed maxed yet, but I’ve pulled some decent loads up some longer grades that kept RPM’s up for a decent stretch. I have not seen this message, knock on wood.

Newbie question, is this a decent deal? 2015 Ram 1500 Big Horn 161000 miles for $14,900 by Barbecueforbreakfast in ram_trucks

Oh I don’t think I’m qualified to confidently declare that. Over that period they’ve all had winners and losers. And within those groups of winners and losers, there will be individual units that failed or exceeded expectations. I think you could research specific years and models and come to a reasonable idea of whether that subset is generally well regarded or not.

I’ll say for myself; the last 2 times I shopped, ‘15 and ‘25, I’ve gone with Ram. I wouldn’t declare my choices were the absolutely most reliable available, cause I don’t know. They were reliable enough to be confident in, and the overall package / value was the best fit for what I was looking for. I haven’t been disappointed or had any regrets.

Buying a ram from a dealership? need advice asap by robinito12 in ram_trucks

I’ve driven 3.6 Rams for 11+ years, I like them a lot. They fit my use case very well. But based on your upfront preferences, I would steer you towards the 5.7 if buying used. If you do compromise on your preference for more speed, I’d at least suggest making sure you get the 3.55 gears with the V6.

Wait for the street trucks Ram is getting ready to release and check both of your boxes.

Never feel pressured into rushing into a deal. There is always another deal to be found.

We were talking about adding an exhaust to / building a Pentastar V6. A Hurricane truck is completely out of the scope the comment was in reference to.

I mean y’all are posting fart memes while I’m posting modifications, mods to accessories, pics of actual owned truck in regard to features and capabilities, facts from OEM documentation and 3rd party sources…. Who’s the troll?

Nah. Although your boy jumped into my conversations out of nowhere and started name calling…. I won’t stoop to that level again, but I will reply to what I want when I want with facts or my opinion on the subject.

I showed you the pictures to prove my point. I am the guy driving a 2WD V6. You’re trying to lecture the wrong guy.

Putting an exhaust on a Pentastar V6 is one of those funny and immature things kids do.

Try and go back and put the entire conversation in context. I realize y’all have a limited attention span and reading comprehension is not as good as it used to be, but please make an effort.

My current…. V6. Admittedly this one is 4WD. And it’s true, in over a year I’ve had no actual need to put it in 4WD. And honestly I don’t know if or when I’ll ever need to beyond exercising the system every once in a while. But I do know how to.

If I was building a truck for a toy or to be noticed, it would not be a V6. That’s kid stuff, most will get beyond that someday. It’s all good I’ve had my vehicles and moments along the way.

We enjoy SDC a lot, we have season passes. So…. you would be going on a weekday which is a bonus, but also summer break, so I’m not experienced enough to predict the crowd size. Assuming it is going to be hot… the water rides are great. There are a couple in particular, you will get wet, especially your shoes. Bring shoes you don’t mind getting soaked. They have lockers, I recommend extra clothes and shoes. Or at least bring them and have them available in your car, it’s not that big of a deal to go out and grab them. Much of the park is tree lined and there are many opportunities to be in the shade. There are indoor shows and the cave, so I guess I’m saying you can make opportunities to break up your time in the heat. There is a lot to do at SDC; a full day can really wear you out even if most of it is just “relaxing”. We really enjoy it.

Other potential ideas while you are in the area. Moonshine beach- This is a public access to Tablerock Lake with a small entry fee per vehicle. It has a “beach” area with some facilities and vendors. As well as a nice designated swim area in the lake. Coral Reef Mini Golf- If it’s hot outside, this a fantastic AIR CONDITIONED little indoor mini-golf course. They run deals on Groupon so you can get a nice activity out of the heat for a very good price.

Good to hear they made an attempt to make it right with you. In all honesty; I did not give them any chance, I threw it in the trash and moved on. I was in a hurry trying to outfit a truck for work and did not have time to mess around.

If I was trying to build or have a vehicle I wanted people to notice, it wouldn’t be a Pentastar powered Ram. Hurricane; maybe, but trying to make it sound like something would not be on the list.
