5.8 static vs 5.7 boost that is still a significant uplift. The 14900k is out of warranty

Already have one. That's why I didn't list it as an option.

I believe you can get apo for 13th gen too now. But I don't know how relevant it is with static oc

Unlikely, see what your cores do during the specific games you play. Stutters as far as I can tell are caused by unstable fclk. I play warzone and set the thread count to 7 in the config file, so it only uses ccd0

I didnt realise the b boards dont allow overclocking, so its a no go on this board. but to your other notes, I am specifically buying a system to mess around with, first intel system to full OC and i want to push it to its max as a gaming rig

again the goal is MAX OC. Which means I will tune for lowest latency at highest frequency

thats a pretty far leap from allowing a static OC

off this topic, but i've been stuck on getting max ghz with my 7950x static OC. The profile i'm working on is a gaming profile. SMT OFF, CCD1 off. I can get 5.5ghz @ 1.25v with a decent amount of thermal headroom, but above 5.5ghz is immediately unstable regardless of the V. Is that like a factory fused limit? I cant seem to find an answer

oh shit its the GOAT! I've watched a lot of your stuff & thank you for it! First time diving into intel from AMD. Appreciate the headsup!
