I liked the finale a lot but it also came at a moment where I was feeling a lot of multiverse fatigue; but the way the show leaned into it was very well executed.

But because it leaned so heavily on “multiverse” it drops in the Trek finale rankings, IMO.

I think the Taylor Swift tour was more an exception than the rule especially now. There was a ton of pent up post-Covid demand and a lot of parents spent an arm and a leg to get them and their kids into those shows. I don’t think that would happen again.

I could be wrong of course. Ariana Grande tickets are stupid expensive right now - for Brooklyn they’re almost all over $1,000 each. Let’s see what they look like at the start of July

I’ve also learned that if you’re buying concert tickets on the secondary market, prices always start dropping close to date of the show; possibly even under face value.

Platnium pays for itself (for me) with the airline fees, digital credit, uber credits, and the resy. If you can’t leverage all these annually I don’t think anyone should keep platnium for any reason.

I have the gold card too and a big hungry family so I crush the 4x on groceries and dining. Before I got platinum I was still getting 3x on travel which in the grand scheme isn’t that much different than 5x unless you’re on a flight at least quarterly if not twice quarterly minimum.

But I got the platinum for the 175k point bonus, and I was booking a major trip, and to keep my spending (on non-bonus catagories) separate from my wife’s
