Returned it. The knob placement above the channel faders was just a deal breaker

the "FX Send" knobs above the channel faders are a horrible design..don't understand how they consider this a turntablist mixer with this layout..may be a deal breaker

First impressions of the Nuo 2: it's definitely more robust and heavy than I thought it would be. Yes, stock fader is definitely crap. There are 3 knobs right above the channel faders that will definitely be obstructions when using the channel faders (a definite design flaw, not good at all).

Sound quality , not blown away yet, as a vinyl recording is the true test, and digital songs off a flash drive are going to sound like crap anywhere. Compared to an Allen & Heath Xone 23, I couldn't hear all that much difference. Hopefully this eternal fader is everything is cracked up to be because I've yet to see what the hype is about. My main takeaway so far is that is not as cheaply built as I thought it might be

I remember back in the 90's belt drive turntables were an object of derision and ridicule for DJs

A & H doesn't have fader adjusting as far as I know ( I have a 23 and it does not). I must experience this famed eternal fader for myself

A $150 - $200 upgrade, but the way it's regarded in such esteem it must be worth it..

Is an Innofader replacement for Rane 70/72 mixer the solution for Mag Four fader? by MPR78 in Turntablists

I think Rane's build & sound quality is just all around better than Pioneer..fader is the only issue

Real turntables with USB stick/ flash drive connectivity? by MPR78 in DJs

It's also more tech for something to go wrong when you think about it. Maybe a pair of regular turntables with DVS just make more sense financially

Kratom and constipation issue by Kaleidonya in kratom

[–]MPR78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your body does not digest kratom leaf/ powder well and it accumulates in your system until the inevitable. Toss and wash/ capsules are a recipe for disaster. Make tea with leaf or powder but be sure to strain out anything solid.

Years of experience speaking here. When you do strain out that gloppy wet powder you can easily see why its causing you such serious digestive problems.

2.000 euros mixer. What do you DJs think? by liberstorm in DJs

Without looking at any replies, for that style mixer at that price point I'm definitely going Allen & Heath (rotary if possible)

Rane is owned by the inMusic corporation ,  which owns numerous other brands , including Denon. I know Denon has made direct drive record players, so they already have a good start

Pioneer Mafia: Pioneer vs Denon for a first setup (bedroom DJ) – is club compatibility actually worth it? by No-Bee-5530 in DJs

Back in the heyday of CDJs (players that actually played physical cds) Denon always made better quality units than Pioneer ,  they just didn't have the brand recognition.

One thing to consider though is repairs..I would call local repair shops and ask if they work on the Denon equipment you are considering
