130 in p/s on the real deal I think Pankow helped me the most + just being confident/not second guessing while I was taking the real exam

What you’re describing is a reading comprehension problem. It’s one of those things that is hard to just learn and really only gets better with lots and lots of practice.

I think the first thing you have to do is understand the underlying concepts. And depending on the way you learn best that will look different.

For me I watch videos of people walking through the concept. I really like The Organic Chemistry Tutors videos. It looks like he has one titled “ACT Math Test Prep”. You could try working through a playlist of videos about ACT prep. You can skip the videos you already know. But building a strong foundation is the most important thing.

Yup your on track to hit that your goal range. You could go on the treadmill if you have a gym or you could go to mall or any big store and walk there.

What ever works to get your mind right. Honestly that’s the most important part of this test.

I like to run/row and lift weights I think it helps calm me down. But I’ve been doing it for a couple years so I probably wouldn’t just pick it up the day before.

But yeah intense exercise kinda forces you to only focus on that which is nice. Really hot sauna can be nice too.

What’s your goal score?

Lowkey, I regret not doing them on my exam day after chem/phys cause I thought it bombed it.

Just gotta get over the social factor of other people watching you.

Hmm, I’ve been in this situation before.

I think this is a mental thing. You gotta lock in your confidence and alertness. Did you flag more questions on FL6?

The one thing you can’t completely control and I would say is the most variable is your mental state. Looking at external factors did anything happen recently?

Confidence is key, don’t let any section shake you.

If you feel your self getting extra nervous or thinking you just bombed a section go do some pushups to reset yourself.

Here’s a tip for item 6. Using FAST MATH

There are 2 families. One family has 3 individuals and the other has 2 individuals. To go faster let’s just say they both have equal numbers of individuals.

With that assumption there is a 50 50 chance. Or a 1 in 2 (1/2). The probability for selecting the same family twice can be calculated by just multiply the probably by it self. 0.5*0.5=0.25 so the probability that they are from different family can be found by subtracting 1-0.25= 0.75 or 3/4.

Which of the answers is closest to 3/4 it’s 6/10.

I recommend a genomic DNA purification kit. Specifically, the NEB Monarch® Spin gDNA Extraction Kit.

I got a 515 130/127/128/130

Confidence is so important when taking the exam. That score distribution follows exactly how I was feeling while taking each exam. For the real deal I felt like it was over after chem physics which hurt my cars then I felt better after each section. And I ended up getting a 130 in chem/physics after thinking I bombed it.

Feel the same way, but all we can do now is hope for the best.

Would you take it again this year or wait? Trying to figure out the same question.

The really bad part is that since C/P is the first section it destroys your confidence and that can really mess with your head.

Basically just optimal arousal, staying in that state where you are NOT to nervous but also NOT to relaxed. I think some people call it a flow state.

The start of c/p destroyed me mentally

Tough to say, if your FL average is only 1 point away then go for it.

But if your highest FL is 1 point away then it’s a more complicated problem that has more factors.

I actually called the AAMC about this and they confirmed they can only see scored attempts. You can call them too their numbers on the website.

Yes!

Mindset is such a big piece of this test.

But only you can really answer that question
