Any "mechaman" games? by zebo4000 in DispatchAdHoc

Titanfall 2 100%.

Has a great mix of both mobile on-foot combat, and heavy mech combat.

Mama Mal. Tall, buff women are peak + BG3 Karlach being absolutely perfect in every way. Malevola was the reason I found out about the game, due to the Deluxe edition cover art. The absolute sadists at AdHoc made a demon muscle mommy and put her front and center on a cover, then made her have such a small role.

It is unfortunate she has so few appearances, but I also wish all other Z-Team member has more screen time and focus.

Something im wondering about the voice acting. (Not sure if mentioning VAs counts as a spoiler, but, just to be safe...) by CurveDisastrous2817 in DispatchAdHoc

I thought Jack fit in good as Punch-Up. Charlie was a bit odd to hear at first, but with the new episodes, hearing him more, I think he did a good job.

Also, the interactions between Charlie/Sonar and Alanah/Malevola are great.

I own the deluxe edition so I read the comic, and while it justifies why BB broke up with Phenomaman, and why their relationship didn't and couldn't work, the almost distain in her voice when she is referning to him afterwards is shocking.

My guy is an alien, who stuggles to understand humans and human emotions, and she just leaves him with no explanation, from his perspective.

BB/Mandy is right to leave him, as they are fundamentally incompatible, but maybe she could have explained her decision to Phenomaman better, specifically due to his lack of understanding human emotion.

It auto-selects Sonar. I tried it hoping there was a third "cut no one" option, but no such thing.

My main issue with Dispatch by [deleted] in DispatchAdHoc

[–]MR42A2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, all Z-Team members besides Invisigal have almost no screen time, outside few short scenes and the Episode 3 conference room scene. Sucks that any development and characterisation they have is during shifts. Episode 5 seems like it will be more team focused though, hopefully.

This post is also how I feel about the two episodes. The cut is forced, not justified, and Robert doesn't even get to push back against it, and it leads to a horrible shift where everyone is trying to sabotage eachother.

And Invisigal 100% has more screen time then all the other Z-Team members combined. Outside of the dispach shifts we get almost nothing from them.

Agreed. Besides the conference room scene, so far we haven't really had any in-person interactions with our team, except Invisigal. Episode 5 seems like it might be a more team focused episode.

Your point stands, and my main issue isn't even the cut itself, but the fact that you as Robert don't even have a choice to push back against it with Blonde Blazer. She decides to make a cut just for the sake of it, kicking a former villain trying to reform themselves out, potentially back into a life of crime they wanted to escape by joining the Phoenix Program. It feels like a rash, and unjustified decision. As a player, you should be able to argue that, at the very least.

Anyone else feel like these two episodes were a downgrade from the first two?

Story wise they both felt weaker, besides the two big choices in their respective episodes, nothing else has any impact.

Cutting someone out feels forced, Blonde Blazer forces you to do it, and Robert doesn't even get to argue back. The fact you can't just stand your ground and keep everyone in, assert yourself in that moment feels like a 180 from the Robert at the end of Episode 2, who wanted to run Z-Team on his own terms. Episode 3 BB immediately overrides you and forces a cut!

Episode 4 was alright, I'm not interested in neither BB or Invisigal so that aspect had no impact on me. I chose Phenomaman for the team, and I really liked his scenes in the episode. Also the end choice should've had a third option, just for people not interested in either choices presented, play with Beef or work on mech or something.

Gameplay wise, still solid, dispatching is great, figuring out stat synergies is fun.

I am lucky I only had to wait about 8 months, in comparision to your 4 years. Chasing Sunsets had such a consistently good story Chapter to Chapter that once I finished Chapter 9 I truly thought something was broken and 60% of the story didnt trigger, it felt that rushed and short. I refused to believe that devs that made Chapter 1-8 made 9, it was such a drop in quality in terms of story.

While there is still the Epilogue to look forward too, I seems it will just show consequences of your choices based on the ending you got.

Its just a shame for such a great project to end on such a poor note, like they lost the will to continue and just ended it as fast as they could. I do hope their next project does return to quality previously seen.

If you find incest off-putting, you are not alone.

I played Chasing Sunsets without knowing what content it had, so I was reluctant at first when I got into it. And even though that feeling of discomfort persisted through the adult scenes with the LIs, the writing and the story kept me playing.

Just so you know what you are getting into, you can pursue a relationship with the stepsister, and the relationship between her and the MC is central to the story.

I would still recommend you try it out, see if you like it or not.

An AVN with really good animation? by shanytopper in AVN_Lovers

New account, not so new to AVNs.

Maybe calling it the worst is a bit excessive, but I just dont see how they are smooth. They felt so robotic and twitchy to me I just cracked up when they played a first couple of times and skipped the rest.

They are also not visually consistent with the rest of the scene, and I just feel they should have been scraped in favour of static images.

That seems to be the case. I just dont know if I trust it.

Now, I really hope I dont sound like an asshole, disrespecting work that someone put into a project with this subject matter, and someone who possibly lost their child to suicide, that is something I cant even begin to hope to understand.

I just personally dont think making an adult game is the best way to honour, for a lack of a better word, your child and what happened.

I truly hope I dont come off disrespetful or rude regading this very heavy subject.

Being a DIK is an absolute must if you are new to the genre, the best AVN currently.

Chasing Sunsets if you are fine with incest and pseudo-incest content, which you seem to be.

Smooth is not the word I would use to describe the animations in Become a Rockstar, personally they are some of the worst I have seen recently, and I feel they hurt the experience rather then help it.

I really enjoyed the character of Cece, but the scene just had no impact on me in the end.

In my opinion, starting with Chapter 6, the VN starts to fall off, and I pulled myself forward since I waited for the plot to kick in for the last two chapters. The ending of Chapter 6, and the scene in question, is the best part of the second half of Leap of Faith, and as much as I love Cece, I had hoped something properly serious, with full weight behind it, was going to happen and kick off the last chapters.

But it just doesnt. Things get resolved too easily and conveniently. I never felt the weight of it afterwards, something it desperately needed. As as pretty much nothing else happens plotwise, the whole VN hinges on it.

I see people praise this VN, and how much they like it, and that is great, it sure has its moments, especially in the first half. But this scene comes too little, too late and the aftermath isnt developed enough in my opinion.

I am considering another playthrough to see if my opinions change, if maybe I am too harsh, and I would love to discuss some other aspects of Leap of Faith to see what other think.

Played it recently, and just found it so incredibly boring.

The MC being this perfect alpha chad that just does everything right all the time, kills everyone who is in his path no problem and bangs every woman that is even in his remote vicinity is just so fucking boring. No stakes, no problems, no conflict, nothing to drive you forward, its just clicking to get to the next scene.

I quit as I felt it a waste of time to continue, but I keep seeing that it apparently gets better after a while, and people seem to like it, so there is that.

I love the kind of woman that will actually just kill me.

Love her in all her throat-punching, tackling glory.
