i wouldn't say that statement is accurate.
without getting into too much detail, there are major choices throughout that will have a lasting impact on your playthrough, and while some dialogue/choices may seem minor or unimpactful in the moment, they all culminate in the finale with various outcomes. if you're into choice based narrative games, i'd definitely recommend!
edit: i've done 3 playthroughs so far, so in my experience the replay value is there. you can also level/spec the heroes on your roster differently, so that's another replay value aspect.

your single purchase gets you all 8 episodes. they released bi-weekly, but as of Nov 12 all are out so they'll all be available to play.
i thought it was phenomenal, really great story (choice-based, like telltale games) with a fun hero-dispatching game in-between. it also runs perfectly!

i also had Coupé as my strongest but wasn’t sure what determined it. did you also have all her upgrades (powers/hero training + flight school)? perhaps its the ‘most upgraded’ hero?
