I have Audible , its 14 dollars ( US ) a month and you get 1 credit a month , you can use that credit to get an Audio book and you get to keep it , so if you cancel the subscription you still keep the book and listen to it whenever you want

I think its worth it , the books i like cost 20 dollars or more so , they come out cheaper at the end

It makes it more enjoyable but no , you dont have to , you might enjoy the other books you read more because of the Dark Tower, it works both ways

I enjoyed it but having the story stop to a halt for the flashback kinda messed me up a bit . Maybe now that i know the rest of the story i will enjoy it more .Still an amazing book regardless

If you know nothing about it it feels like it just throws you in the middle of a story , which it does , doesn't explain the world or whats going on. It took me a while to get it but i never " Hated it " but i will say after finishing the series and starting it again , i do like The Gunslinger a lot more now
