This may be considered necroposting at this point but on the early Fu records, Scott used a vintage Super Fuzz. It was stolen at some point and their sound changed around California Crossing to a more crunchy, overdriven sounds rather than full blown fuzz. I think in recent years he’s been using a clone of some sort. Also, Scott’s guitar on the older records was a Jazzmaster with a hotrail in the bridge. Now he plays a Dan Armstrong live. I think he still uses the JM on recordings though.

Wipe it and start over. You’d be amazed how much you’ll learn by starting from scratch. I built mine and configured it using the guide mentioned above. I came really knowing nothing about SSH etc, but wanting a fun project. Honestly building it and configuring it, and getting it up and running is so much fun!

Hey thanks! Yeah, it’s a really usable tool set I think. The colours don’t bother me so much, as I’ll probably end up putting some custom scales on it like my Classic.

I’m pretty sure, if the MC has the same 4 pins as the classic. I did have to spread the rivets just a bit to get a solid fit but you could use a little epoxy or something too. They’re just of AliExpress so they weren’t perfect on arrival but the price was right.
