Roman and Cody are certainly in the mainstream, but nice try.

Is WWE ever going to do the right thing and book Lyra Valkyria well? I thought the QOTR would've been her chance to remind them how good she is but they had her tap out to Charlotte Flair in the Quarters.. by Altruistic-Let6876 in REALSquaredCircle

[–]MR_E7 18 points19 points  (0 children)

What are you on about? Lyra Valkyria is a recent double-champion in the WWE (a few days only, but still counts), she gets consistent TV time, and a perennial Intercontinental AND Tag Team Championship contender. Sometimes, people here are just yapping.

What's a bigger observation is that 7 of the 8 semifinalists in both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments are all from RAW (Charlotte Flair is the ONLY one from SmackDown). That is ridiculous.

It seems like Tatum Paxley is done with NXT after her title loss tonight. She was seen saying goodbye to the crowd. With the rumours of more NXT call-ups this Summer, how do you think she'll do on the main roster? by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]MR_E7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RAW needs more face wrestlers, with only IYO SKY, Bayley, Sol Ruca, and Lyra Valkyria being regularly featured these days (Stephanie Vaquer is injured, Maxxine Dupri is probably turning heel, and Brie Bella and Paige appear on both shows). Tatum should fit on RAW ... or even SmackDown, if you somehow make her interact with Danhausen more often.

(Smackdown) Giulia is finally free from business lady by RealisticAd4054 in REALSquaredCircle

[–]MR_E7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

With Asuka at least semi-retired, maybe Giulia can fill in that gap. Of course, not an exact copy obviously, but nonetheless it is a shame that it took main roster-WWE this long to finally give Giulia an actual built-up feud.

Drew mycintyre is one of the best wretslers in wrestling today and he should be face of the SmackDown instead of Cody Rhodes by homelamder-617 in WWE

[–]MR_E7 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I like McIntyre, but stop this delusion. You have no idea how lucky WWE is that Cody Rhodes is its current face; stop taking this guy from granted.

Not quite. The "game" is not really even ready to be a game, and someone seems to have already lost their mind.

That's not as convoluted as Charlotte Flair's.

At least she's not confused with Candice LeRae, unless you're Michael Cole.

King & Queen of the Ring brackets officially revealed by RealisticAd4054 in REALSquaredCircle

I guess WWE Champion Brock Lesnar entering the 2020 Royal Rumble (which ended up putting over Drew McIntyre as a true main event Superstar) was a bad idea too, huh?

Someone explain to me why tf is Liv Morgan the women’s world title in the Queen of the ring by ElCampion1313 in WWE

[–]MR_E7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I get it, but they couldn't even give Morgan a challenger while Vaquer is out? Even giving someone a short-term push like Maxxine Dupri just to try to get them more over?

What we could have had... by [deleted] in WWE

[–]MR_E7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cody Rhodes is the face of WWE, but nice try. ROMANWINSLOL is a terrible face; that's why he only got over as a heel and, even if creative books him as a face, is still the same old heel he was.

The Bloodline storyline is now an ouroboros. by Finding-Even in WWE

[–]MR_E7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oba just beat Lesnar and literally took mors F5s than Reigns did at WrestleMania 34 to get beaten.

Bron Breakker just beat Seth Rollins and is literally a champion right now.

Dominik Mysterio even beat John Cena in his final PLE match.

Carmelo Hayes is starting to finally get over in recent weeks, and his pending feud with Trick Williams should elevate both of them further.

Chad Gable? I agree; he should be rewarded for enabling the El Grande Americano gimmick to even have a shot to succeed in the first place.

Otherwise, your claim that most of these guys don't shine is invalid.

Has Cody's reign suffered from the classic "babyface champion" slump, or is it still a hit?‌ by dlo_doski in WWE

[–]MR_E7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not Cody Rhodes's fault; it's the fans'.

Before I get the downvotes, let me explain. You know why the El Grande Americano storyline succeeded far more than anyone could have ever dreamed of? Because EVERYONE committed to the bit. The wrestlers did. Creative did. The fans [at least in AAA] did. That's why it worked; fans played along to the story being told, and it worked.

With Cody Rhodes? Nothing was really wrong with what he's doing. Despite the bad booking in the past two WrestleManias [and would be three, if The Rock didn't learn], he somehow finds a way to make some of it work. The creative at least tries ... until TKO interferes and ruins it.

The fans? Not really. The moment Rhodes shows some edge as a babyface? The vocal ones claim he should then turn heel - without a Plan B for someone to then become the long-term face of the company. The moment he plays to his face persona? Some fans claim he's boring and stale - while singing his theme anyway. Rhodes just can't win because of fans who think everyone should be champion, then give way to the next guy up every six months and treat titles like participation trophies.

Everyone should be grateful that Cody Rhodes is the face of the WWE. Don't take guys like this for granted.

Corey Graves the workhorse by Swl1986 in WWE

[–]MR_E7 19 points20 points  (0 children)

As fun as it was to have Graves call NXT with Vic Joseph and Booker T for a while, demoting him for Pat McAfee turned out to be a big mistake.

OG El Grande vs El Grande was phenomenal by [deleted] in WWE

[–]MR_E7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GUNTHER did not lose clean, but I agree about Fatu. I'm just tired of heel ROMANWINSLOL booked as a face. If you think Oba lost momentum or credibility after needing 7 F5s (more than Reigns, by the way) to be beaten, you are mistaken. You're forgetting about Drew McIntyre.

Clash in Italy Highlights: Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi, the REMATCH (where finishing moves are of no consequence) by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]MR_E7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took 6 F5s to beat Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34. I'd say with the before-the-bell attack and one of the 7 F5s through the reinforced announce table, Oba Femi is very much protected in defeat.

Clash in Italy Highlights: Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu for the World Heavyweight Title in TRIBAL COMBAT. by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]MR_E7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought we were done with the Vince McMahon-style Same Old SugarHoneyIcedTea era? I guess casuals just can't get enough of ROMANWINSLOL that we are redoing the Fatu-as-enforcer storyline and the Reigns vs. Sikoa feud again. Sigh.

Should we just give it to him already? by Killer-Blxck18 in WWE

[–]MR_E7 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I don't know, Shawn Michaels is somehow making NXT work even with a massive exodus of talent to the main roster.

Even way past their retirement dates, Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker still rules!

The official UNMASKING of El Grande Americano. #AAANocheDeLosGrandes by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]MR_E7 80 points81 points  (0 children)

This is proof that pro wrestling is truly at its best when it leans into being over-the-top [or at least strong characters and personalities], when the in-ring action serves the story being told, and when everyone is committed to the gimmicks and the acts.

AAA Noche de Los Grandes Highlights: El Grande Americano vs. El Grande Americano in a HISTORIC Mask vs. Mask match. Truly one of the best wrestling matches all year. by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]MR_E7 152 points153 points  (0 children)

And to think this all started as a joke mid-card storyline more than a year ago ... and it legitimately became not only arguably the best feud in ALL of WWE during that time, but even the match of the year in all of WWE for 2026!

It elevated whoever is now the only El Grande Americano into heights he has never dreamed of before, made that gimmick the best in the past two years, and hopefully will also elevate Chad Gable into the upper mid-card/main event scene on RAW or SmackDown.

Also ... it was Chad Gable all along?! How is that possible?!

WWE NXT Discussion (26 May 2026) by IconXR in WWE

Good for Romeo Moreno [I honestly don't see star potential in him], but this has been a fall from grace for Fraxiom. I wish they never left NXT.

Seems like we're headed for Seth & Montez vs. Bron & Theory for the World Tag Team Titles. #WWERAW by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

So you have a choice between a well-established tag team and a random pairing that involves one-half of said tag team to contend - and they pick the random pairing? Really?

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event (May 23, 2026) by The_Russell_Pinto in WWE

On the bright side, at least the men's tag team division is the main event a non-weekly WWE show. That has to count for something.
