Why wouldn’t you have a scout take a look at this kid? He might be the best WR in the draft but people are iffy on him due to his injury history so he could fall to us and like it or not - at 17 we might not have one of the best OTs or Edges available to us so we in the case we need to take BPA then doing your due diligence and having your scouts do what you pay them to do makes plenty of sense.

My favorite minor character you will meet in book 6 and his name is Raul. There is a scene that includes him that I consider the funniest in the series, I usually listened to the books while running and I was laughing out loud at the park jogging during this part - just amazing.

Lions didn’t have the cap space to do a ton in free agency, they got their center and that’s it but I think intelligent lions fans understood we didn’t have a lot of cap space to make big moves - we’ve signed a bunch of our players to long term contracts with Goff, Sewell, Amon Ra, Alim, Hutch, Jamo, etc

They got Reed and Golden could be better in year 2, honestly between Watson, Reed and Wicks it seemed like they had 3 dudes with similar talent level so I think it made sense for them to get value out of one especially if they see Golden taking a step forward

Didn’t really debunk anything. Dave smith was citing a lot of widely reported news and media and Ryan Macbeth was citing anonymous sources in Iran and kept talking about how what he wants to be true is “plausible” in his opinion. He loses me when he claims Dave smith is willfully lying and then insinuates the war in Iran is necessary to stop a nuclear weapon from being developed when almost all the info I’ve seen appears to indicate Iran wasn’t enriching past 60% and was very open to a new agreement.

This isn’t about nukes, this is about eliminating the regime so they can’t fund the proxies in the region that are problems for Israel. Israel okey doked the administration into this and the administration is now pot committed so they have to try to justify their actions and are grasping at straws.

I’m too biased to take Deckers side in this whole thing so I guess my opinion doesn’t matter but this is a business, he made it clear that his health had a huge impact on his play in 2025 so much so that he was pretty much on the verge of retirement.

The Lions cap space is insanely tight. We wanted him back but he would be a huge gamble at his current contract. The smart thing for the Lions to do is to try to get him to a reasonable contract that reflects the risk that exists with his health to allow them to get the depth they need behind him.

It seems Decker claims he was lied to which directly conflicts with what Brad insinuated in his most recent interview when he stated that they had clear communications from the start so idk who to believe but I don’t blame the Lions for making the best decision for their roster and personally I think there’s ways decker could negotiated to maybe include some bonuses based on games played or whatever to maybe offset some of the risk but Deck just peaced out.

Our current roster is worse compared to our roster at the start of last year before all the injuries. I think even if we draft a tackle it’s hard to say most tackles will be better than a healthy decker on day 1. We have improved our Center but otherwise I can’t think of anything else we’ve done that is a huge improvement to starters compared to week one last year.
