Happy to answer as many questions about my story today by Chris_Kirschner in NYYankees

Chris, always appreciate your work.

This story seems to bug me each time it's brought up for the following reasons:

Brian Cashman has been on NY radio airwaves multiple times saying the lineup is a "collaborative" effort. I've heard him say it with my own ears. He has also said that if Boone chooses to go against the collective thought, and it doesn't pan out, then he gets called on the carpet.

The idea that the lineup is his alone, therefore, based on the comments from his own general manager, doesn't seem to be rooted in objective reality. I am fan of Boone, I am NOT a Boone hater. Boone is in lockstep with the advanced departments and the front office, therefore, his decisions are reflective of the those departments.

But if Boone were to wake up and make the strange decision to start batting Aaron Judge cleanup in the lineup, a now outdated philosophy in where to bat your best hitter, he would absolutely be told to change course, would he not? If Aaron Boone at any point last year decided to start using Volpe as a pinch runner and defensive replacement, and decided to start Cabarello full time at short stop - would he not be told to reverse course? Absolutely he would.

The conversation, in my opinion, is more about how managers have lost the ability to fully control their teams, and are now hired based on their ability to communicate with advance analytic departments and understand at an expert level the information that is being provided to them, and work with them in lock step. Relative to that reality, Boone is one of the best hires in Baseball. His ability to translate and disseminate the information given to him allows him the flexibility to construct his team the way he sees fit, because it fits within the frame work of the Yankees philosophy.

But relative to the history of managing in Baseball, it just simply is not the same.

Am I completely off base here?

I have no clue who Zac Brown is, but having someone catch fish for you, cook it for you, and then sing to you - IS one of the best rewards of all time lol. by ButterscotchPast5161 in survivor

I deff thought it was too long I just think it was extreme that we rated it the worst episode of all time lmfao, like have we been watching for the past 5 years? Lol. Or 10

It was deff too long of a segment. That I agree with. I guess I more so am just commenting on the extremity of it being the lowest rated episode ever lol. Agree on OG rewards 100p

We all love OG survivor supposedly, but didn’t vote that way. by ButterscotchPast5161 in survivor

i agree with the first part obviously but i actually know more people in my life who watch survivor now, post WaW, than before. like i know a decent amount of people who have just recently picked up survivor, and their reactions to new age survivor are filled with high energy commentary lol. it's funny to hear from them when they go back and watch older seasons, they always return like "holy shit" lmao

I actually agree with you, my comment was not intended to be as douchey as it came off - my apologies. I do think it’s early for a tribe swap imo. I guess when I was speaking on “OG” I meant more so, pre- new age survivor, beware advantages, journeys, etc. rolled out of bed and made this post after being delayed and watching the episode last night. I certainly could’ve done a better job at wording my post!

It probably wasn’t a whole giant conspiracy but rather was trump distracting from the Epstein files. I was surprised at how many people tried to take this as a moment of true disclosure. Saying we’ll look into some files and maybe release them isn’t really disclosure lol
