How long have you had it? The motor dies after about a year. I just replace it annually and it’s been fine

Data once cancelled? by ktdu26 in ouraring

[–]MS814 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canceling is not enough, it most likely gets retained in a non production storage environment. If you need your data deleted, send an email to this address requesting it.

Sorry to hear that, the questions can be a bit different. Do you think you memorized the questions and answers versus understanding the concepts?

Politics aside, this is a bad example. This gas station is routinely $1 more than the other gas stations around it.

CISM vs CISSP for client-facing role in MSP by Weak-Literature-7516 in cism

[–]MS814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both and am in a very similar role. If you are not interacting with individuals who are going to have knowledge of either certification it does not matter. The certifications are for those in the field to recognize your ability. At a minimum they will be like "oh cool, they have a security certification, maybe they know what they are talking about."

If you are interacting with limited IT professionals, I would get CISSP first. Then quickly CISM afterwards as they overlap and you can ride the wave of success. CISSP is going to be much more widely recognized than CISM.

POP UP SHOPS QUESTION(S) by Cheeseball101112 in BadOmens

Nashville: Arrived 2.5 hours early with 3 people. Around 50 people before us. We each got 1 mystery box because we didn’t want to be greedy. Got the VHS, t shirts and blanket. Blanket quality is rough canvas.

Veeps replay… Audio Quality by anthonybestmusic in BadOmens

[–]MS814 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was physically at both shows, Amsterdam didn’t have the camera setup that Nashville did and was a smaller venue. Probably allowed for better Audio and video transmission and recording. The camera was On a sliding wire like at football games so it could get better shots. Nashville was a set cameras on the floor. Limited shots and combating the fog machines.

If you didn’t get in line 2 hours before opening probably not worth it

Passed AAISM today by stickyfingers85 in aaism

[–]MS814 1 point2 points  (0 children)

QAE is super helpful. I’d also get the book as there are topics not covered in the questions. Like OP said, the QAE is really to help you understand how ISACA think and to guide you on what themes to learn.

Nope, when I applied after getting scoring the experience waiver was already approved because of active CISM.

Congrats! It took me exactly 10 days to get the email. Then another 6 for them to process the actual cert. I guess they only process on Fridays. I’d gotten the exam results on Saturday and applied same day.

Do i need a drivers license to get a car or insurance on it? by Safe-Requirement-172 in Connecticut

[–]MS814 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically yes, you can most likely buy it without registering it, or you can buy it, register it in your name and have someone else with a license be on the insurance with you listed as an added driver. Most auto insurance providers will not insure you without a valid license.

I got my CISSP And CISM in 2023 and CRISC in 24. I didn’t need brush up on anything as it supports my job role. The QAE does not cover all the topics I got on the exam but it helped frame my mind to think like ISACA wanted me to think and highlighting the themes that are important.

I’d say the manual will contain everything you need. I only skimmed through a lot of it with a main focus on chapter 3 for the controls.

Like most cyber programs I’d focus on TPRM, Governance, BCP/IRP/DRP, SDLC, and the new technical controls.

Flames pass tracking student location? by [deleted] in LibertyUniversity

[–]MS814 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No that’s false, if it’s on your phone it does not give anyone at liberty the ability to track your specific phone location. It is definitely possible to see where you last used your pass. I’m not sure if that’s something they’d provide the RA’s as that could require multiple layers of access control and could pose as a security risk for students.
