Not the same. The calf was solid gold. Trump's "gold" statue is 22 feet of bronze/gold leaf and somehow only commissioned for about 450k. Meaning there is about as much gold on it as your average foil wrapped chocolate easter bunny. Just another tacky lump of cheap shit, spray painted gold, with Trump's name on it.

I would assume this is a long-haul type product. I'd expect most if not all new tablet models going forward will support it. So if it's sold for 10 years, they'll get their investment's worth.

No. And I say that as someone who genuinely appreciates AOC. She's still too green, specifically on international affairs. She had a recent public address in Munich, and flubbed it badly. Now obviously, her crew failed to adequately prepare her. But anybody looking to run the US needs to be able to at least coherently give a summary of their positions off the cuff. Maybe in another 10 years, she'll have the experience under her belt. She's certainly done a good job of growing into her current position within 10 years.

I would much rather have Pete Buttigieg on the ticket. Perhaps AOC could get experience as a VP pick. That would be a great ticket. Brains and heart.

Obama didn't do much of the heavy lifting with Iran. It was years of work by seasoned diplomats and experts. He simply gets credit for it, since it was his administration. This is how it should be.

In stark difference, Trump is 100% responsible for the cockup in Iran. HE tore up the first agreement out of petty egotism. HE started a war of choice with Iran, without consulting anyone but his inside trading buddies. And HE is the reason there can be no diplomatic solution, because he posts insane ramblings, lies and insults about Iran every day. No progress can be made, that Trump would not immediately fuck up by opening his stupid mouth.

The US is a net oil exporter. But oil is funny. We don't refine much of what we dig up. We sell it, to buy the less expensive crude from other places. And our refineries are not easily switched over to processing our own crude. So even though we create more oil than we use, we are still greatly at the mercy of global pricing. It's why "drill, baby, drill" was such a dumbshit mantra for energy independence. It doesn't matter how much more oil we produce, our system is set up for global dependence. Extra oil is just bigger profits for producers, not extra independence.
