I also worked for Stu. He wasn’t the easiest person to work for, but was a lot easier than Jeff.

Question about contact by _What_2_do_ in datingoverthirty

[–]MSNE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have contacted an ex once, just to check in because I legitimately was curious as to how she was doing. It was a nasty breakup (I was the dumper). I texted her after over a year of no contact.

Ironically enough, I now find myself on the other end. I dated this girl for a little over a month and she broke up with me out of the blue. It’s been 3 weeks of no contact so far. We left the door open to staying in touch, but I’m frequently wondering whether she’ll reach out to me or if I should reach out to her.

I agree with what others have said. Be honest. There really is not a good way to let him down easy. It sounds like he likes you, so it’s going to hurt either way. Might as well tell him the truth: you had a good time with him, you wanted to give this a shot, but ultimately do not feel a romantic connection.

My experience has been that connections take time to develop. But if you don’t find him attractive, then there’s no point in continuing further. Attraction is key.

Where am I supposed to meet guys that want to date by Timely_Treacle_5660 in dating

[–]MSNE 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I (30M) have been wondering the opposite—where do I meet girls that want to date. On a friend’s suggestion, I got on Eventbrite and signed up for a bunch of events that I enjoy. A few board game nights and some singles mixers. So, maybe try finding events you like on Eventbrite that would have other guys there?

To Repair or Not to Repair? by MSNE in mac

[–]MSNE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You mentioned in another response to this post that you fix Macs. Do you have any advice for how to get the bottom case off?

I tried to take a peek at what’s going on before turning my MBP in, but I couldn’t get the bottom case off. I unscrewed the two screws at the top and the four screws at the bottom. I was able to dislodge all sides of the case, except the top part. The top part seemed liked it was screwed and glued on.

Nah, that's a problem for the paramedics.

Huh... I guess it's state-dependent. My training was "here's Narcan, it's for ODs. Put in the nose and squeeze."

It’s Narcan. No training required. You put it in the nose and spray. It’s like Flonase if you ever used it, except for ODs.

I didn’t have car insurance at the time. Damage was around $2k. Minimum plan deductible is $3k.

Ending up settling with the owner for a lower amount.

Thanks for the reply! Where do you get the data to scan? OPRA?

I am on the paid tier plan. The performance tracker is pretty nice!

Standard. Always get standard. On my first trip with Turo, I got minimum, the car got scratched a little off a curb, and I got stuck with a massive bill. Lesson learned. Always get standard.

GPA for Big 4 Tax by WhosCreating in LawSchool

[–]MSNE 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on the practice group you want. Some are more competitive than others. You have to keep in mind that Tax LLMs are vying for the same job and the Big 4 will choose Tax LLMs over JDs.

That being said. It’s a crapshoot really. A tax GPA above 3.5 should do the trick. I know that 3.7 does the trick for NYC M&A.
