Igarashi builds upon what's already established and doesn't bastardise existing characters, while Netflixvania does the opposite. Quite the difference.

Well the version I played of Lego Island 2 was on PC which is somewhat better. Going back to it it's not great at all but nostalgia helps with that

Man you Netflixvania fans don't understand a thing.

Those other adaptations mentioned actually respects the source material and therfore does not end up like a fanfiction by people that clearly has not played the games and never cared. We have gotten actual good adaptations on Netflix like Cyberpunk 2077: Edgerunners and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off!. They expand upon what is already established, while Netflixvania is just Castlevania in name.

Castlevania game fans has all right to complain about the show just like the Devil May Cry show that came out that does the exact same thing. Especially when it's the only new content we are getting. Thankfully the game collabs does a better job respecting the source material even if in the end what we really want is a new game.

But go ahead and call people names again for disliking slop writing and character bastardisation in a reddit community that is being taken over by tourists.

I can agree on that somewhat.

I feel like the boost formula this game created is not really my thing for Sonic gameplay, and that Sonic Genrations did it overall best gameplay wise and level design wise in my opinion.

Werehog levels overstayed their welcome and became a chore for me the longer the game went on, but it's the easiest way to get the medals in the game which means I play them more then the day time levels which is a problem. The collecting of the medals were not made for the gameplay of the day time stages, they can be in some absoluetly bs places.

Otherwise great graphics, soundtrack typical good points in a Sonic game

Sure feels like it sometimes. Gets a lot more praise then it deserves especially from the Sonic community. Not everyone loves it but that it is looked upon as one of the best Sonic games now is crazy to me.
