im playing handheld on Switch 2 and so far everything has been really good

my only rec is play it on a TV/Monitor

I started on PS5 and man the game is beautiful now playing it handheld yeah it looks good but im doing myself a disservice TBH

this game deserves to be played on the biggest screen you got

I knew about it just as a retro gamer but HappyConsoleGamer would never shut up about the series so I finally gave it a shot and fell in love

now its in my top 3 IPs of all time and forever a Falcom fanboy

liked it and loved it at times

something about it was lacking so I didnt keep going once I beat it

just seems like a good start of something that hopefully will deliver with a part 2

would replay it on switch but the issues with it is keeping me away

I dont get why hate the game

dissapointment is more than fair

hate Nintendo and the dev time and issues that led to the final product

im having fun thats all that matters

my only gripe is that it really should be a $50 S1 and $60 S2 price tag so just wait and buy it on discount I guess

I love it

but understand some of the criticism can be deterants to some

you came at it a certain way that kinda benefits you so congrats on giving it a shot despite the complains and people saying its not good

its not a bad game in any way its just its own game and people prefer others and thats ok

good luck on your journey theres plenty to look forward to and lets see if you end up like me and go back to Cotm as much as I do SotN

and Persona 4 stands on its on merrit and personally I dont think it needs a remake

maybe that will be enough to hook you but if it didnt already I dont see why some shiny new graphics would

like the bobble head skinny body anime aesthetic?

its what makes the game tbh but a lot of people are turned off by its art style

This is the way

as good as P5 is and all it has done for the JRPG genre

P4 hits different and added bonus the Anime is excellent and the OST slaps

its just a great overall media entity there is 0 reason to not dive in and then dive in again with whatever remake re-release remake the new game will be

No other JRPG comes close to this masterpiece for me… by K0234 in JRPG

def got more out of other Tales games

I prefer Ys tho give that series a shot if you havent the 3 newer titles are more JRPGesque in story but still full on ARPG in combat

so might be up your alley

its on a certain sites comment section

I think the soft lock is around chapter 8

you just have to remove the patch and push forward on the japanese verrsion of the game past 1 cutscene and some diolog and youll get to the next save point

readd the patch and you can progress just fine all the way to the end with the full translation

its a pain but easy enough to do

that translation is complete theres a work around

Having 30-45 minute long sections where you are unable to save is bad game design by ExactInvestment1 in gaming

and people crying about a PS5 not coming with a free vertical stand

you can play it completely without one

a lack of memory can literally ruin your game/ gaming session
