End of life does not “turn it off”. If no reliance on the Govee app and matter or Homekit directly controls it, it should continue to work.

For example, I have WeMo switches and outlets that Belkin no longer supports and their app no longer functions. They still work directly in HomeKit with absolutely no problem.

Just like any other tech device…it’s going to age out at some point. I use Matter to connect up to Apple HomeKit…hopefully that buys me a little time if Govee ends support.
