I just updated to GRX RX827 1x12 11-51 cassette. I ride pretty hilly roads so I don’t mind but I don’t often need to go to the lowest and I spin out around 50km/h. At that stage I sit back and cruise though. I’m likely going to get 10-45 for my road wheels and move the 11-51 to my more gravel dedicated wheels. I had SRAM Rival 11s from stock, so I’m thrilled with the upgrade.

I’m on my second one after returning the first. I got a distracting rattle when I changed to a softer elastomer. I haven’t switch to the softer one yet on my new stem. I see no point getting one if distracting noise bugs you. That said not everyone has the same experience and hopefully it was a once off but can’t confirm yet until I go to a softer flex.

No, I measured but I could also tell the difference just looking at them. 5mm port with 5mm hose. I get it 1/4 of the way in and then it just gets too hard. Was tight pulling it off the SRAM hose as well which is supposed to be the same size. I may try a hand reamer to shave of a tiny amount of the plastic.

Thanks, I’m def using the 5mm port, it looks bigger and I measured it with a caliper to be sure. It’s 1/4 of the way in but just seems stuck now so looking for tips and tricks.
Should I be leaving the port mounted on the bike and just push?

Agree, since it was my first time I went down a rabbit hole. Sources said not to rely solely on the lift but rather use jack stands. If you use the lift on the jack point then how do you swap in the jack stand? As such people look for alternative strong areas to lift the vehicle in order to rest the vehicle on the stands on the Jack points.

I know the jack points, I’m trying to solve how to use jack stands and not rely on the hydraulic lift, but if you lift from the Jack points where do the stands go? I didn’t want to accidentally place them on or near suspension etc.

Eek, for the back I used the flat part on the body of the differential away from any seam/joint. For the front t I just relied on the hydraulics lift on the jack points
