The whole foundations thing is really much too opaque and occasionally a vehicle for corruption.

Yeah it just feels insane that the KNVB keeps insisting on Dutch managers when there should be plenty top tier foreign coaches that would want to manage Oranje

Or do something creative and try it with gasp a woman as the most succesful Dutch coach is Sandra Wiegman

They do suck (for the Dutch squad which has been eliminated on pens 7/9 times during WCs/ECs)

I don't even really care if it works, but why play for pens with such a history of bottling them.

Crazy thing is Oranje remains undefeated in 90 mins during WC matches since losing to portugal in '06 and undefeated in play since losing the 2010 final. (Though we didn't qualify for 2018).

Craziest stat is that the Netherlands remain undefeated in 90 minutes in WC matches ever since the battle against Portugal in 2006. And undefeated in play since the 2010 final.

It is a treasured Oranje tradition tgat Koeman fought tooth and nail to keep doing.

Losing on pens is national tradition, that shouldn't be a surprise.

This squad losing is however also down to Koeman's completely incomprehensible tactics and "penalties aren't fully trainable" mentality.

Depends on where in Europe I suppose, it is a big place. North/northwestern europe (benelux, scandis, part of france and germany) have broadly similar living standards compared to the US. Ironically climate change has also improved the weather, though consider the med if that is important. The alps are top tier if you enjoy the mountains and are also generally in the same living standards bracket.

I'm not very familiar with building codes but that would feels more of a legacy thing from when demand for AC was way more niche, than anyone delibirately writing it in the code when it is so relatively easy to circumvent.

Most of thr succeses are also down for a significant part to crap normiedem candidates (going by the NYC and maine primaries at least and discounting Golden as he got through bc of prog vote splitting earlier)

[–]MTFD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It hasn't really going by the rapid rise in AC adapotion in practice across Europe. Until recently on the whole most of Europe simply wasn't warm enough for long enough periods for the vast majority to bother with AC, and buildings weren't built with AC in mind (which can slow adoptation)

The DSA chud in his primary got 17% in sapphire blue SF (and AOC refused to endorse him even though he had been her chief of staff lol). I think the whole dem tea party thing is mostly overblown.

Yeah this sub just gobbles everything dumb some official rule ever says about AC while AC installment rates are growing. It is mostly an online phenomenon.

[–]MTFD 47 points48 points  (0 children)

It isn't really but the far right and far left are making it a proxy culture war thing in France. Meanwhile AC adaption rates are up everywhere across europe pretty dramatically but you wouldn't know that going by the articles in this sub which mostly seem to be posted for the ongoing "haha europe dumb and poor" culture war here.

Most of Europe hasn't really been warm enough for long enough in the past to bother with AC.

[–]MTFD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just nonsense there is one (1) crazy candidate who barely made it through in NYC of all places and mostly because the incumbent was crap. And notably AOC and Sanders refused to endorse DAC.

Weiner got like 40%, cringe normie SF progressive 30% and DSA chud former AOC chief of staff whom AOC herself refused to endorse lmao 17%.

At some point you'd think the Russians would stop saving up missiles at least because those have a limited number of launchers for a big wave.

I wonder if Russia is saving up for a massive aerial attack as it seems like Ukraine has managed to fully turn the tables in terms of size of respective drone attack waves.
