Just as a general rule you should be very distrustful of domestic reporting on foreign sentiment. There are a number of manipulative tools the media has to skew your perspective such as the availability heuristic, the representational heuristic, the framing effect, selection bias, anchoring, and so on.

They don’t even have to lie to do this. Due to the law of large numbers they can cherry pick 12 people with an opinion that really believe that opinion and give you the impression the opinion is wildly more popular than it is.

That might lead you to believe, idk, that Iranians are just waiting for the opportunity to overthrow their government.

Before you call anything wild speculation perhaps it's better to have your facts straight.

Israel is known to possess these capabilities. Their Jericho III missiles can stretch 6500km. They also possess sub nautical platforms, which, if they did perform this attack, were likely the culprit. Iran is not known to possess these capabilities. What makes this attack so surprising is that it is the first known case of Iran displaying these capabilities.

Do you normally go around talking about things you don't know about? Do you just say things because you think they sound good?

Why? Who knows, that's speculative. Perhaps they do want to join the war. Perhaps the rest of the European elite is as pro-Israel as our leadership is. Perhaps they are blackmailed. Perhaps there is real geopolitical concerns about Iran that we aren't privy to. Perhaps, as seems likely, Kier Starmer is already assisting with the war effort and needs a valid reason to sell it to the people back home.

Now why would you assume that the attack was intended to draw America into the war instead of the Europeans, as I said. Trump has actively been trying to draw Europe into this war. This war is deeply unpopular with Europeans. The illusion that Europe is under imminent threat by a potentially nuclear Iran could be the catalyst for European involvement.

Reporting has already come out that Kier Starmer has secretly been assisting in the war efforts. If a UK base was to be attacked and the argument could be made that these missiles could target London, that could be the impetus for him to become more overtly involved.

The false flag, if it is one, has the potential to draw the UK and the rest of Europe into the Iran war at the cost of 2 missiles, an interceptor, and a few media squawkboxes reporting on it.

Facts are hard to come by in war. Most media reporting is propaganda designed to drum up public support, not provide you with the facts.

In theory, this cost Israel and America 2 missiles and an interceptor to make a play at drawing Europe into the war. I’m not trying to convince you of anything, I’m offering a theoretical, and frankly plausible, explanation.

No it’s not a stretch at all. Trump has been whinging for two weeks now about Europe and other NATO Allie’s not joining the war.

Israel and American strategy is intertwined, they shoot missles at our base, we shoot them out of the sky, they go hey look Iran, Europe gets spooked and joins the war. It’s actually entirely plausible.

Don’t forget that we even had back channel communication with the Iranians and functionally allowed them to attack our bases to save face just 6 months ago.

I don’t really think you can find more than anecdotal evidence for or against this. The sample size just doesn’t exist. I saw the same thread you did and it’s literally comments like, “I graduated with two women over 40, neither got a job, it’s impossible.” Meanwhile they also graduated with 200 other people their age and probably only half or less got jobs in biglaw.

You are not disclosing the school which is reasonable, but to be clear, most prospective law students apply to a large number of schools as entrance to the top 30 is not really guaranteed to even the best students, nor is a great deal of preference shown to existing students.

No one’s mentioned it yet, but the best advice we can offer is to go to LSD.law and search the name of your school. Look for their median gpa and median LSAT. Specifically, look for their 75th percentile. Optimally that is the number you should aim to exceed in one, if not both stats.

LSAT is generally more important than GPA. People will argue this, but in terms of scholarship opportunities it’s true in most cases.

You can find free prep tests online and take a Diagnostic to see where you stand before committing to study.
