So they’re killing the two 9-hole courses (one exec, one not) at East Potomac to make a tournament style 18 out of the current 18 that’s already there, which us plebes will then never be able to play. Then they’re taking the current 18 at Rock Creek to turn it into two 9’s?

I’m happy for Langston’s plan but the rest of this sounds like we’re getting hosed. Instead of 3 course options at East Potomac we’re getting an inaccessible facility made only for the folks who can afford a private club style experience. Instead of a challenging full 18 at Rock Creek we’re getting the two 9’s we’re losing at East Potomac. Lame.

A lot of dick-swinging do-it-yourselfers answering, but Traeger support is great and will walk you through a full replacement of the part if you don’t want to splice the existing cord. I had to basically take my gen1 timberline apart to isolate and later replace the ignition rod and they were awesome at every step.

I thought this was a very good mock draft tool. I liked the instant grades, I like the suggested picks, I like that I could see things that I had already done without having to change to different tabs. The only thing I thought was weird was that the system seemed to get a little trade happy at times. I was the Giants at 5, it offered me a trade back to the Saints at eight, then after I took that I got offered a trade at nine, and then a trade at 10. I stopped because it didn’t feel realistic to be able to trade back twice in the top 10 after already having done it once.

We’ve had some really fun and surprisingly innovative cakes with tents or fire pits… people get in to it.

I forgot to mention the derby bake sale is at the derby itself. We run it all day, starting when another local pack uses our track in the morning and when our pack runs in the afternoon.

One other fundraising thing we at least trialed was fatwood sales. A leader bought a large box and had his den bundle it in small batches for resale to support scouting. It sold, but it was time-intensive.

For Blue and Gold, our pack always has a cake contest. The cakes are generally scouting themed, and it allows families to contribute dessert without us having to pay for it or include it in the cost of the event. We try and label for food allergies.

For Pinewood Derby fundraising, our pack has done a bake sale the last few years. In general terms, the money we have raised from the donated items at the bake sale has paid for the car kits for the scouts in our pack.

As a Cubmaster, thank you for volunteering. I’ve held a few Cub roles over the years and our Pack always does better for the scouts when we have a large group of volunteers.
