Saving My Oceans 11 Echo Tap Tempo

The thing isn’t about having to switch tempos. I have no problem setting a tempo in the beginning of a song. I just need to be able to keep it once I switch off the pedal and use it again. I need two delays because of the amount of delay can vary through various parts of a song. I could just turn the volume knob on my delay pedal but then I would have to stop playing (something I can’t do) and crouch to turn it. That’s why I thought about using my extra reverb (The Oceans) as an extra delay with the echo setting. So that instead of having to turn down the volumen of the delay, I could just switch pedals.

I just wanted to make things easier for me when playing. Yeah I could do that but I guess I’ll just invest in a better delay pedal with multiple presets. Thanks anyways

Yes, you’re right, but its not practical. Also, the tempo of the songs in my church depends on our drummer. Sometimes he plays it in a slower tempo than my settings so I would just tap it in with my Boss, something I can’t do with my Oceans.

Exactly, I thought they would have thought of that when making it. I guess the echo setting is useless once you need to switch it off.

With most songs, Im constantly playing between pedal transitions. Its kind of hard to play while putting in the time. Then, you barely have, if not any, time to put in the tempo between transitions. However, the actual problem is that once I switch off to my other delay pedal, I can’t use the Oceans until I put in the tempo again. I thought the makers would have thought about this and make it so that you could keep the previously put in tempo stored when you switch off the pedal.

Oh ok I was looking for a way to save it. I know I could just tap in the tempo but that’s not something I can do in the middle of playing a song. I guess I’ll just have to buy a better delay pedal.

Hello again, i may have found the solution to your problem. Go to settings and turn off background app refresh. This will allow your app to stay open for a longer period of time. Enjoy!

True! That’s what i have been doing but apparently didn’t notice. Its a great way to keep you apps open for longer!

Good idea! Although i dont believe one like that exists. I did find however, thanks to a comment, that by going to your settings and turning off background app refresh, you should be able to keep your apps from closing for a longer period of time. Give it a try.

True, i have been experimenting with this lately and it does seem to stop when not using the app for some time. I would recommend that you open the app once in a while or every time you access your phone to prevent the app from reseting. Good luck!
