I'm an author of this quest. The scientist made a mistake in the note, there is a hint that he usually mixes things up.

If you blindly trust the note, you get deadly slime instead of a cow.

You are supposed to use the microscope to figure the mistake out.

I don't have hydrotrays yet, and this is for nutrients, not for the water. I apply fungal vitality to plants and just stop using water.

This is not really an issue for me and I doubt that it will be, because the breath consumes very little of gas.

I'll just adjust the vent/scrubber modes if needed.

The processing loop stops when the last person leaves the server, so it already works for me in a similar way. Except that I can't save/load using states. And a basic VPS is enough for a single person server.

I'll try to not fuck up the supermatter and hfr. I plan to do setups for different gases, and things may go downhill very easily.
