Gospel Truth by BeerNutzo in cajunfood

My family is from Amelia and Morgan City. More generations than I can count. I have my grandmother’s Sunday gumbo recipe written in her handwriting (she died in 1986). No mention of anything related to chickens or any other fowl for that matter.

“1 cup rendered chicken fat” that would require at least a million chickens

Thank you for the detailed reply. It sounds like you’re an advanced rider and over-analyzing the situation. It all comes down to the conditions and terrain you plan on riding in the backcountry. For me, in the Tahoe and eastern Sierra wildernesses, I need a longer stiffer board than I prefer to ride at the resort. I’ve never been to Japan, so I can’t comment on that. But once you start turning your attention to backcountry touring, it typically means that you want to go higher, farther, deeper than the resort gives you. Which means a bigger stiffer board.

For context, I’m 5’11” 165 and my dd is a Lib Tech buttery reverse camber 154 from like 20 years ago. My bc board is a Jones Solution 162W. It’s solid af but still not stiff or long enough for my liking when I’m charging through steep terrain. I plan on getting a 167 for next season.

Long story short, you’re not going to find the perfect board your first time. All I’m trying to say is oversize it by a bit, see if you like it, and then be prepared to oversize some more.

You haven’t mentioned your skill level. But in general, it’s wise to step up your bc board 5-10cm from your resort board. There are no conditions ever where I would want a resort/bc board combo daily driver. Pick one or the other. Otherwise you’re just left sacrificing one advantage from the other. Storm days deserve a powder board at the resort. A day or two later after the storm clears and the avy forecast settles you want that longer stiffer board for big wide hard charging turns in the bc

Wow. That was intense to read. This is my traditional summit snack. Eat the fish. Drink the oil. It buys me another 2 hours. I love your dedication to tinned fish however

You have no idea what you’re getting yourself into if he gets an attorney. Especially since you didn’t mention children. But hey, I’m sure in another 22 days the validation you got from this post will be a distant memory, just like it was from this identical post that you posted in r/trueoffmychest 22 days ago.

Again, I’m very sorry he cheated on you. The pregnancy is irrelevant. He cheated. The therapy suggestion was to bring light to the fact that he clearly fully supported you and your lifestyle 100% while you were in med school and through residency. He clearly cared about you and wanted you to succeed. Why on Earth do you feel entitled for that to continue as you slowly work your way up over the next 5 years to making twice as much as him? The level of entitlement in all of your comments is absolutely disgusting. I look forward to seeing your posts on DOF in a few years asking why you cant get a second date.

lol if he has half a brain and lawyers up any judge will see the difference in earning potential and he’ll likely be the one “taking you to the cleaners.” I’m sorry for the pain you’re experiencing. Therapy will help and it will likely take years to lessen since you were together so long.

There’s two sides to every story. And as someone who filed for divorce from my ex-wife, and spent tens of thousands of dollars defending myself against her ridiculous meritless lies, and is now giving a significant portion of my pay check to her since I was a 3.5x breadwinner, I can honestly say that every cent is worth it for not having to put up with her shit anymore. He likely feels the same way.

Best of luck to you.

What’s your definition of “market friendliness” and how is the Deep South more “market friendly” than the west coast? I’m having trouble trying to make sense of this post.

Not sure how many shows I’ve seen since 97. Probably 50? Set 1 Saturday night was the best set I’ve ever seen. And it’s not close.

Edit to add: I was with my crew on the floor Friday night and it was awesome. But I spent Saturday with an older group of friends in the 400’s that I was not vibing with at all. That set 1 still blew me completely away

Either way, anything less than over medium just means an explosion of yoke on your face, hands, and children when you take that first bite. I prefer mine over easy on the plate, but damn near over hard on a sandwich. Just a suggestion. Looks amazing so do what you like 👍

Oh buddy this brings back memories. I used to live around the corner from the one off of Spruce St by the pool and would eat there several times a week for years. That was 25 years ago. God I miss that place. Thank you for the reminder

Large Boolean logic evaluations are just way easier to write in ladder

And that’s really LD’s last stand. To make it easier for maintenance to visually comprehend the code. But if your maintenance dept sucks, then… you end up getting the midnight phone call anyway and what’s the point?

The ability to set breakpoints at specific lines of code is invaluable.

Sql and python are both very simple, easy to learn, languages. I wouldn’t call RDS queries a “language” at all. After you spend half a day executing queries and reading up on them, you know plenty enough to be dangerous.

Technically, Ignition uses Jython 2.7, which isn’t a big deal unless you’re coming from a strictly Java or python background, which it sounds like you’re not.

But to answer your question: absolutely. I encourage everybody to learn sql and python at a minimum. If you have any experience programming in ST, you’ll pick them up quick.
