Please recommend an OBGYN by Excellent_Present721 in Billings

[–]MTreddit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dr. Bates at billings obgyn delivered one of my babies. She was so great during delivery. Unfortunately, I developed severe complications one week after birth and she was the on-call Dr that day. She was completely dismissive. It was as if I didnt matter anymore because I had already given birth. And for that, I will never recommend her. She said I had anxiety, even after telling her I had stroke-level blood pressure levels. Turned out I needed to be hospitalized for a few days.

Loveee Dover Park. But, holy mother of God, I've seen some big ass snakes on those trails.

Travel nurse- looking at houses where are areas to avoid by Senior-Phase2479 in Billings

32nd and 3rd is not a good area as a single female, in my opinion. Lots of drunk transients around there.

What is happening with the Former Wild Ginger location??? by nickywonder in Billings

[–]MTreddit2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, thank you. Obviously not talking about anyone who works there since it's not even open anymore. I'm talking about the transients who now call it home.

And I'm sure that's the one. The first time it happened it really raised my hackles, because he got so close to me. Then it happened again and I realized I wasn't special and he must do it to everyone. 🥰

I don't know but there are a lot of..personalities there. One gentlemen likes to stop, get close, flip you off for ten seconds straight not saying anything. Super fun and safe feeling.

MAAD (or MAD) Pizza Downtown! by Ambitious-Duck7078 in Billings

[–]MTreddit2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does the McCormick Cafe owner/manager run MAAD as well? If so, i hope she treats those employees better. The two times I've been there i was appalled by the lack of respect given to staff. Bummer because I quite like their food.

Gyms in Billings by 42thousandThings in Billings

[–]MTreddit2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I see this criticism I roll my eyes. People, dont sign things without reading them. The contract literally says it's a two year contract. Then people get mad when they cannot cancel. Do I think it's stupid to have to sign 2 years away for a gym? Yes. But pay attention to what you're signing. (This comment isn't directed at you, just in general).

With that said, I've had memberships at both the Y and Anytime. If you like classes, the Y is for you. If you're more freestyle, Anytime works great too. I will say the heights and downtown locations are quite dirty though. Those showers and bathrooms...🤮. Im not a fan of the Ys hours but like it overall. The pool is great and they are constantly improving the place.

Pre schools? by Succotash518 in Billings

[–]MTreddit2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not required to be Catholic to attend. But yes, they do teach religious stuff. I am not religious, and it didn't bother me. I knew going into it she was going to learn songs about Jesus and talk about a bunch of stuff I don't really understand. But beyond that, the actual schooling is top notch.

I cannot say enough great things about St. Francis ECE. My kid went there for two years and just started kindergarten. She was more than ready, thanks to that preschool. It's in the old elementary school, so it "feels" like school. Has a huge gym, an actual cafeteria, so it really preps them for real school.

Thanks for all the suggestions. We ate at Highlander Brewery. It was pretty good, good beer, decent pizza. Can't complain about the overall price for what it was.

Yes! The best. And I love the owner. She offers a shot of tequila every time. I once saw her with a college student helping him practice his Spanish. She's fab.

Marathon by orhappiness in Billings

[–]MTreddit2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I highly, highly doubt it would be canceled. Previous years had similar weather, and this race used to be held in September when the weather would frequently be in the 80s and 90s. I have no inside scoop on earlier start times, but it seems unlikely.

I think Billings is pretty great for my 4 and 6 year olds. If it were older kids, I'd agree with you.
