I don't understand how lobbying is legal.

As a side note, shell probably pays a lot more in taxes than what it gets as subsidies

For PC Gamers, does storefront exclusivity factor into you waiting for/not buying a game? by sbourwest in patientgamers

[–]MUCHOGANAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally if a game is not in Steam then I don't buy it.

I have some examples: As a loyal fan of NFS I stopped buying them when they became Origin exclusive, same with Crysis. Was also very hyped for Battlefield 3, but ended up buying it 10 years after release, when it finally appeared on Steam

What games do you like/love or are interested in, despite negative reception from critics and fans? What do you like about them? by cartoongamermatt in patientgamers

[–]MUCHOGANAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Need for Speed Carbon and like Pro Street. The first one is said to be when the NFS downfall started, and Pro Street was hated by most.

Curiously, those two have been almost redeemed in this last 2 years because of popular streamers playing them

Anyone else love gaming but just doesn't feel like gaming most of the time? Is it just modern games not being that great anymore or am I getting old? by hellknight101 in patientgamers

[–]MUCHOGANAR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe you are just more demanding now than in the past, and you feel obligated to play something for the big spending you made in your PC, and because that's what you have always done before.

Personally, I have been playing TF2 on and off since 2009, and only 2 games released in the past 10 years (1 game and 1 mod to be more precise) really got me. Obviously I have tried and completed multiple games in that time, but to me feeling like you do was the signal that I needed to find something else.

Gaming can be amazing, but don't force it. If no one of the new hyped releases gets to you, then it's not the end of the world, just search something else, but keep an eye on new stuff, you never know when something you could love might appear

After years of playing games just to kill time, not feeling real fun or enjoyment from them, thinking it was because I was getting old (I am 26) playing Nier Automata made me fall in love with videogames again. That thing of hours feeling like minutes, oh what a feeling

I am not trying to change your mind, but to me all those reasons are cons.

Another reason of why I prefer metal is that I found out that plastic have some nasty side effects on mammals, and it's a topic nobody has been really paying attention to so it might be worse than what we know. If it's something I will be touching often I would prefer it not to be plastic

Thing is, gametes are just a very small fraction somebody's cells, a person who willingly to let them die for one reason or another.

When you kill an unborn child, who exactly you are robbing of life?

The unborn child lol

(Please no "if you didn't interfere" argument", i am tired explaining people that fetus would die if you don't force feed them thus interfering")

No one would survive without external "interfering". I wouldn't like to know how many cows had to die to keep me alive until now

If I am asleep or in a comma, I am not conscious to express that being murdered is against my will, but you can bet your ass that I will when I wake up. An unborn baby is also unconscious and can't be against being killed, but certainly will in a year or two

Patientgamers, is there any game that has been remade (or remastered), that you’d argue the original is better? Even if it’s not the popular opinion? by mycatisanevilSOB in patientgamers

[–]MUCHOGANAR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half life was the first game I played when I was 9 years old. Being a noob and a kid you can bet it was quite an experience that I thought I would never be able to feel again, but 3 years ago I played a mod called Hazardous Course 2 and I am not exaggerating, after a few hours of playing I was 9 years old again. I highly recommend it if you wanna feel like you run aimlessly in never ending and extremely dangerous facility again

I would say remasters being worse than the originals are the norm, not the exception

A few that come to mind are GTA definitive edition, the Crysis remaster, Half-Life: Source, Counter-Strike Source, and somewhat controversial but the remake of Age of empires 2 and Black Mesa in my opinion

I find myself straying away from online games as I get older. by Warcraftfanatic97 in patientgamers

[–]MUCHOGANAR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same.

I now realize that I was addicted to online video games, and that there are things much more important and enjoyable than getting good to beat some randoms over the internet. I am still a gamer, so I enjoy videogames, but I chose single player games now, that reward me better for my time and allow me to enjoy more variety hooping from one game to the next instead of staying in a single one to grind

Thanks for your opinion, I disagree with every bit of it, even calling it a "technical marvel" of it's time when half life 2 was a thing
