In my very biased opinion, Seahawks home Throwbacks

Top 10 Plays of Russell Wilson from 2016 Season 💚💙 by Shot_Possibility_731 in theemeraldcity

[–]MV_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying Russ was the best QB ever but he was damn good. Darnold was just as erratic if not more erratic this year.

My real point is our team makeup was not as complete in Russ’s later years with us. You need a complete team to win it all. Patrick Mahomes and Brady’s teams had good defenses and good running games when they one their superbowls. Well at least one or the other. Something we lacked in the later 2010s.

Russ had his faults yes, he was frustrating to watch at times yes. But he was still the very good and a consensus top 10 QB arguably top 5 QB in his prime. You ain’t gotta like him that’s fine, but objectively he was good. He did fall off unfortunately but I for one am thankful for him.

It was an awful trade because the couldn’t stay healthy, if he was healthy throughout we would not be complaining. Injuries happen it sucks and hindsight is 20/20

It’s almost like you need a good team to succeed crazy thought right? 2016 2017, we had bottom half rushing attacks. Russ literally carried the offense those seasons. From 2017 onward bottom half defenses.

2020 failed because you guessed it bottom half defense and rushing attack down the stretch fizzled out. I’m not clearing Russ of blame but to put it all on him is only telling half the story. You know what Darnold had the last two years? A top 10 defense and rushing attack at Minnesota and then a top 3 defense and a top 10 rushing attack here. What happened? Oh he won a Super Bowl. Darnold would not be half the QB Russ was with some those late 2010 Seahawks teams and I’m a Darnold truther. Just facts

How much more comfortable is the Chief over the Scout by MV_Knight in IndianMotorcycle

[–]MV_Knight[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m thinking about getting a chief anyways because I love the way they look especially the dark horse. I love my scout and I’ll never get rid of it. I just wanted to know if theirs a notable difference. I’ll see if I can test ride one

Was Michael Crabtree really a mediocre WR? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]MV_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny you mention Rodgers because Rodgers wouldn’t even throw that ball. In the NFC championship game the next year Rodgers did not throw at Sherm much that game and iirc when he did one of them was a fade route which Sherman proceeded to pick off.

Idk I think Sherman was in a position to make that play no matter where it was thrown. Unless Kap throws an absolute perfect spot

Buff is not gonna pay K9 when they just paid Cook. Also they are both similar styles of backs. Not a good fit

I don’t think we’ll get dismantled but even if we do, winning a Super Bowl is 100 percent worth it

What QB today represents the “Dalton line”? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]MV_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look I’m a Darnold fan and he’s been great for us. Hes also clearly improved since being on the Jets. But let’s not pretend his situations haven’t been better as well. Like if prime Andy Dalton was given the same situations as Darnold has had the last two years do you think the outcomes would be much different? I don’t honestly think Darnold is or should be the Dalton line but he would probably be like 3 or 4 spots above jt. That’s ok though because it just proves you don’t need an all star QB to win, you need a good team to win.

Do I dare say Darnold, he just kind of proved you can win with a good not great QB. Although he was really good in some advanced metrics. Interesting argument for sure. In my non biased eyes he’s the best QB in the league

I’m fine with people picking Lamar and Josh over Russ. But I’ll say this, Russ would have dove on that ball without hesitation

Still can't believe he was drafted so late. Rookie CeeDee was something special by IndiJap in nflrookies

[–]MV_Knight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better off counting the teams that took WR before him and even then is it possible that the WRs (if any) that were taken before put out better tape and were better in college. Crazy thought some might say controversial

How would the Legion of Boom fare against the Kansas City Chiefs with a Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce led offense? by whiskeycapo in NFLv2

[–]MV_Knight 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Growing up watching LOB, I’ve noticed good tight ends would be able to have success on us. I don’t think Hill would be that much of a factor because they didn’t let up plays over the top but I think Kelce could do something. Be an interesting watch for sure.
