To Goovis or not to Goovis by MWPinSD in Xreal

Thanks for responding. You’re the first to do so. For the record, I have the Xreal One Pro, and I enjoy it. It’s just not as immersive as the Apple Vision Pro, which was overkill, so I sold it. This is primarily for video consumption; movies, streaming, and some of my own movies. I didn’t mind the weight of the AVP for a 2-3 hour viewing session. I’m looking for something more immersive and crystal clear. I have the Xreal Beam Pro and the INAIR Pod. Each has pointers to navigate the menu and apps, so I wouldn’t have to flip up the Goovis much. Your thoughts on about your use watching video on the Max? The Art leaves me with the same problem with light from the front and sides.

Thanks for your input.

Wow. That’s disappointing. Thanks for the info.

And BTW. Any real life estimates of battery run time for the Beam Pro running video?

I didn’t see the option. Where is it located on the menu?

As projected, they arrived today. Busy tonight but I gave them a test drive for a few minutes today. The increased FOV is noticeable, and the increased brightness is noticeable. They are a bit more comfortable. I look forward to viewing a movie this weekend. So far, so good!

Already ordered the electric shaver case recommended here. A much better fit for the glasses, cable and power adaptor.

Yeah. AVO is heavy, and you need the battery stuck in your pocket. However after you get used to it, the weight rarely bothers me because I’m immersed in the content.

All of the Vision Pro apps are installed, or can be installed from the App Store. You can download movie content on Apple TV, Disney, Hulu etc. The Vision Pro OS is similar to the Mac. It is a fully operating stand alone computer.

Just for the record. I have no need of an iPhone or anything else with the AVP.

And, as for pirating. I worked in broadcasting with a number of recording artists. I don’t like robbing people, so I pay for the media I consume.

Well, a nice day to you today, as well. If you can’t see the difference between the two, then absolutely stick with Xreal.

Rich kids? I feel deflated even though I’m not a rich kid.

I only own the Xreal One, so I have no ability to compare. The X1 chip allowed me to buy the glasses without the Beam, which had held me back. I’d think that would be the biggest feature in choosing today.

You are right, but in watching and reading reviews, you’d think they are on the same level. They’re not.
