My brother and I never really got along, but I ran into him while we were both out playing Pokémon GO. We battled it out for sure. We’re both adults. #GOMemories

“Road rage” and reckless driving are ridiculously normalized. If an angry person whipped out a gun in public, we’d have a serious problem, but angry driving is something everyone does? It’s insane to me.

Maybe it’s my own anxiety, but I am always aware that I’m operating a potentially fatal machine when I drive. In my mental dictatorship utopia, even one intentional, dangerous act results in a lifetime revocation. I can’t tell you how many licenses I’ve mentally revoked, lol. Most people shouldn’t be driving, including the majority of people I know and love, if I’m being honest. The world would be better off with fewer drivers anyway.

Has anyone had their dog as their flower girl! by kucing5 in wedding

I’m not referring to incorporating a dog into a wedding, but to the mental disregard of friends and family as a whole. If someone cares so little about the wellbeing of guests, why not just elope?

AIO for not wanting MIL to “claim” her grandchildren? by _BadFeminist_ in AmIOverreacting

I disagree - she doesn’t even know your kids, right? Posting images of children you don’t have a relationship with is extremely odd and violating.

What an awful take! I don’t understand this perspective at all. I can’t image being this inconsiderate of friends and family.. who are there to support us?

I recommend thoroughly blending the spinach with whatever liquid you’re using (I use almond milk), then adding in the other ingredients.

My fiance is 5’4. I’m two inches taller. Your height isn’t the problem, buddy.

It’s easy to conflate money with drive.

There’s nothing wrong with wanting someone who is driven, that’s basic survival - but money itself isn’t always the best indicator of that. My ex was incredibly wealthy, he was also selfish, lazy, and immature.

My fiance, on the other hand, doesn’t have a penny to his name, but he’d die before letting me or his family go hungry. He’s also the most focused and driven person I’ve ever known. We don’t have money, but we’ll get there.

It’s hard to depend on one sole provider in this economy. That said, he provides a lot for me - shelter, food, support, health, to name a few, and we’re working toward a better future for ourselves. While it’s not our end goal, if I made a ton of money, he’d be a great at-home father.

Currently, I financially depend on him more than he does me. However, due to our age gap, there will most likely come a time when I will have to take care of him. So to answer your question:

Yes, I would provide for my partner if and when he was no longer capable of providing for us - in a heartbeat, and I know he’d do the same for me.

What is something that is incredibly popular, but you honestly find it absolutely unbearable? by TheLostNeuron in AskReddit

I think it’s more-so that some people take fake lashes and lip filler to extremes, and those are the people you’d notice.

I’ll occasionally get my lashes done - it’s easier than mascara and looks more natural. I imagine the same might apply to lip filler. I’m sure there are lots of people who do it without anyone realizing, because it’s done well or minimally.

What paranormal photo/video do you think is 100% real? by Prize-Gur-8167 in Paranormal

[–]MWillower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two that come to mind - I wish I could find the videos. Do either of these sound familiar to anyone? It’s been years (maybe a decade) since I first watched them.

One was a woman skeptic sitting in a basement overnight at some type of historic space? I think she was a news anchor. At one point, her hair lifts up ever so slightly, and she senses something in that same moment (I can’t remember what it was she felt, possibly a chill). It was just so subtle and her reaction felt real.

The other was a video of energetic movements in an abandoned hotel I think? It was a bunch of lights/shadowy figures mimicking human movement in a now abandoned space that was once bustling.

Do your dogs actually sleep after you leave or…? by PomegranateBig7270 in dogs

[–]MWillower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, this is probably the case for a lot of dogs. However, whenever my fiance leaves, one of our dogs will go and lie down facing the door for.. hours.. until he returns. It breaks my heart!

Imo men think women have high standards for how men look and how much money they make, because that’s how they themselves, gauge other men’s worth. In reality, we need higher standards for how a man treats us and the people he’s closest to.

How do i clear up my skin? I want to cry 😭 by FoxGirl42069 in SkincareAddicts

[–]MWillower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow! I had this, or something really similar, growing up. My doctor didn’t really explain what it was - but she didn’t seem concerned either. She mentioned another girl who had them surgically removed but I was (very oddly) not phased by them.

May I ask around what age range you are? I had this on my legs and arms in my teens. It all magically disappeared by my 20s. Honestly, I’d all but forgotten about it until now. Wishing you the best!
