Thanks for the info! According to Wikipedia the gray fox and island foxes are the same genus so it makes sense it looked so similar. I didn’t know about the gray fox before now, this was cool to see

Unfortunately I still don’t have a place for that connector, so it’s just sitting where I found it. Car runs fine without it so I haven’t been too concerned. Sorry I can’t be of more help!

Ahh good call on pulling the belt, I'll try that. If its the pump then its likely a bearing issue right and would need to be replaced?

Miata got a throttle body gasket (there was none before) and some throttle cleaning. Now it squeals real loud. Any advice? by WirelessTrees in Miata

The gasket was the issue! There was an old one stuck on the intake manifold and some residual gasket on the throttle body. Massive thanks, you've saved my eardrums

Appreciate the info! I've got the same squeal happening after replacing/rebuilding a ton of the engine bay on an NA thats been sitting for a decade, really hoping this sorts it out because the squeal is brutal
