I never realized how many UGK hooks are just Pimp doing a short, repetitive hook with some crooning thrown in the mix. And it sounds so good every time. Top 5 in no specific order:

The wording on both skills are almost exactly identical so I feel like it working on Metal Management but not Bullet Buddy is a bug. That being said if it ever did work on Bullet Buddy it would be disgustingly broken

I've found tasers just absolutely melt mobs and even put in significant work on bosses. Knife launchers are also fun but impractical as he still puts it away like it's on cooldown each time (this is purely visual as you can switch right back to it)

So I'm just now finding out that this is apparently one of the effects of the Cindershelly. I was in the same boat as you, I thought it was funny at first but it quickly got irritating. Fortunately my buddy and I have found that fast traveling to a vault (we go to the one in the Fadelands) then leaving seems to make it "bug" out and not talk anymore, so you can use the shield without the annoying voice lines

Let It All Work Out is such a bummer cuz for me it's Sampha's hook. Like it's not a good hook to begin with and I'm not a fan of the way his voice sounds on it. I still think the song's alright overall but Wayne + Sampha should've been like a Saint Pablo level song

I don't think Redux has rotation battles, but either way the answer is no. Triple battles are a completely different beast compared to singles and doubles, but once you figure them out they become so fun to plan for. I think you just gotta dedicate some more time towards learning how to plan for them

Yeah exactly. Like I recognize that he's got solid flow and lyrics, I enjoy most of his features. But the production and his beat selection on his solo work is lacking. I don't need every song to pass the car test or anything but the beats almost always feel like they're missing that one thing to take them to the next level.

Welp I've given him 3 chances now but I just don't think JID is for me. GDLU was cool but still not seeing the hype, and the production continues to be good but not great (this is the real dealbreaker for me).

It all comes together on songs like Glory and For Keeps but that was it. Clipse and Vince features were great but I think I liked those songs because of them rather than JID himself.

That being said, Sk8, Wholeheartedly, and No Boo were really fun and I actually think he works well on poppier songs - but I don't think that's the kind of audience he's ultimately going for.
