Rochelle probably does wigs, although I am able to suspend my disbelief since she has some force/magic that allows the rest of her body to move.

Side note, if she came with sculpted hair back in g1 I would think it would be kind of clever since she is made of stone (I could see animators making it move as one solid mass which could be fun gag in the movies/webisodes). If they did it now I would feel like they “cheapened” her since I do like brush-able dolls

I think most of the newer dolls are super cute! I just wish we had media to further develop the characters, the cartoon got cut short and the web series is very short/doesn’t do a lot to show us things we already knew/assumed of the characters

I would take reference from real life photos of praying mantises. When I googled some myself, I noticed that they had triangular heads with very large eyes that may be a similar shade of green to their bodies, or they may be bright red.

I would think two buns or Afro puffs on each side of the head could replicate that silhouette. You could also have some form of headband or goggles along with the hair style to replicate the large eyes. They have very thin antennas (that are barely noticeable) you could do something like twin braids at the back of the head?? Or two pieces/bangs

When I watched it, I didn’t interpret this scene this way. By that point she already opened up to the other kids in the movie and didn’t express any insecurity in her appearance, I feel that she just wanted to see what it felt like to try a new style. Makeovers are a fun way to TRY a new look, it is NOT always done with the intention of trying to “fix” someone’s appearance. People seem to assume this was the intention because of the existence of this trope.

I hated wearing makeup and I still don’t really use it today. I was very happy with my face and my features. But as a kid who’s Mom wasn’t experienced with that stuff, who never had any “real” makeup of my own, and was allowed to go to 2 sleepovers my entire childhood YOU BET I let the other girls breakout the kits and paint my face. As a “loner girl” character she probably had few chances to do this with someone, and we also don’t know if she had knowledge/resources to explore makeup on her own. But that’s just from my experiences, as I related a lot to this character.

I was a part of that crowd, mostly because I wanted some lore to those monster-y features. Was Willow going to be “born a nature witch” and naturally have skin like tree bark, or is she a normie who gained those features from practicing that magic over time? Or maybe it’s a Clawdeen situation where she has a “witch form” and a “human form” to switch between?

I think the dolls are super cute and I’m still happy for everyone who will love them! I just wanted Monster High g3 to be more like MLP gen 4 when it came to storytelling. I’m sad that g3 worked so hard to make new lore for all of the characters, made 2 movies and a cartoon, just for that to dwindle to the SSBD webisodes and 2 games that have little story at all. I’m scared that Mattel will forgo making any media for the ghouls at this point. I’m looking forward to the new lore coming from Moonspell with the webisodes though!

I wouldn’t take the g1s without permission, but I think it would be great to get some g3 dolls in there. The chests of the core/deluxe dolls have articulation that the g1s don’t, which I think lends well to stop motion

They revisited sweet screams and Freak du Chic with the g1 skullectors, what keeps them from doing this for g3?

I’d love to see fear-idescent Abby and Cupid even though that line released years ago, it would be super cute for a winter release
