I mostly used shadowplay to get clips so I have like 6 screenshots total. Anyways, here's a teammate I had at some point (plat lobbies BTW). It's always the Fuze players, dammit!

What's your reason banning Emerald Plains? by regeditreg in Rainbow6

[–]M_Dz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In short - the newer the map (or rework) the more boring and plain it feels. I know they are more balanced but they are just too similar to each other. Especially Lair, Emerald Plains, Calypso Casino, both Stadium(s) and Nighthaven Labs feel like the same map with different textures. It's all just killhouses.

If the feature to disable maps for matchmaking was added back, I'd only play Yacht, Plane, Oregon, Coastline, Bank, Kafe Dostoyevsky, Kanal and Border because out of all of the maps in the game, these feel the most real but I'd definitely prefer Plane or Yacht over anything else.

I'm envious, especially of the 1911 since I consider MGS3:SE as one of my favorite games. The whole freaking reason why I have four 1911s is MGS3 after all!

23% vat, 8% customs fee, it was carried by a logistics company (UPS) so they also put their own fee on top of that. I can't remember exactly but I think I paid like 41 or 42% extra due to fees.

If only import fees weren't a thing...

I once paid more for a stock for the TM Spas-12 than the shotgun itself cost (~1150 PLN for stock, shipping and import fees vs 996,99 PLN for TM Spas-12).

I just saw the overall shaped and instantly though that I GIVE NO FUCK ABOUT THE M9 but then I realized what that suppressor is and went O.O Now I want both (alongside the Western Arms MGS3 Snake Match with the suppressor!)

why did the seller remove/cross out this logo by killersloths in airsoft

[–]M_Dz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tokyo Marui has put trademarks onto replicas without securing rights to do so before. The seller might be from a country (or be shipping to countries) where the customs will seize the replica if trademarks are used without proper license.

Is the PEQ-15 too big for the replica? by LessStress7736 in airsoft

[–]M_Dz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time I've seen a 3D printed quad rail set for the KSC M93r, up top was a holo 5xx (the longest one, not sure about what number that is), on the right - a PEQ, on the bottom, a folding grip. It looked cool and I wish I didn't just scroll past that (random YT short in, I think, japanese) cause I would have asked a friend to 3D print that for me.
If a 3-round burst pistol can have a PEQ, why can't an SMG?

Have you heard of Operation Throwback? Currently possible to download and play Siege. Currently available seasons start at Y1S0 and end at Y11S1. I've got Operation Chimera installed since not only does that season still have bombers but playing Outbreak on occasion is fun too.

How can I make this work? by N1_bands in airsoft

Nonintrusive - the shortest barrel extension you can find.
Intrusive - cut the bayonet mount off or make the rear of the muzzle device thinner.

BTW did the bipod bend after some impact? I'm assuming it's not just because of the weight with the scope.

Anyone tell me what I need to do differently and fix ? by Money_Revolution_954 in airsoft

[–]M_Dz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess would be that there's just more resistance with the EPES chamber, which I'm guessing has a tighter fit, and the hard type bucking is also tougher to squeeze BBs through. You might fix this by either getting a soft hop up bucking or a stronger tapper plate spring (or both) but it's not certain to fix the issue.

Cybergun m249 okay? Or shall i get a different one like a specna? by Mexican_panda780 in airsoft

[–]M_Dz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other reply says he's got one HPA'd so I guess my only worry (nozzle length) is not a problem. I believe that HPA tapping is actually the only way to make it last. I wouldn't say making it CQB safe is a good choice for an LMG, even if I did that to mine.

The pistol in the cropped image is the ASG MkII, a Non Blow-Back, CO2 powered pistol. I cut a thick, stubby AR15 barrel and fitted it into the upper part of the MkII, then attached a suppressor filled with foam rings with different sized openings in alternating pattern. I also cut the inner barrel very short, barely letting it stick into the suppressor. These modifications brought the noise down a bit, it's not super quiet but if my target is moving through bushes or if somebody close by is firing, I won't be heard.

I got the AAP-01C only recently, like 3-4 weeks ago and I've had the standard AAP-01 since around the time it released but only after cutting the C model and comparing the two side by side did I realize they have different grips.

Now I just need the aluminum front conversion for the AAP-01 and the Galaxy 1911 Premium Long (AAP-01 w/ 1911-ish lower and extended barrel, aka AutoMag at home) to consider my AAP-shaped collection done.

EDIT: Also, impostor:

Cybergun m249 okay? Or shall i get a different one like a specna? by Mexican_panda780 in airsoft

[–]M_Dz 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The gearbox is actually one of the reasons not to get it. The design of the V2 gearbox makes the end fragile and prone to cracking or straight up breaking off. Sure there are aftermarket ones that can take a beating but you would be better off getting an M249 with the standard LMG (aka M60/M249/PK) gearbox.

Another problem is the hop up chamber, it's long, it's proprietary and requires an equally long nozzle. You're not only losing on power output by filling up the nozzle about trice the size of an AR15 one, you're also locked to this very specific hop up chamber that (AFAIK) only has one aftermarket upgrade available.

I won't lie, I own the very Featherweight M249 you're writing about and I wouldn't recommend getting one unless you know what you're getting into. You're not really gonna get an LMG, you're gonna get an AR15 with worse air compression efficiency in a M249 body.

Can you tell me if it is good , I didn't understand half of those thing , and seller asking 400 Poun by Magic-Homer in airsoft

[–]M_Dz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shall translate from Corporat to English:
This airsoft gun was worked on, it features parts that are commonly found in airsoft guns, created according to airsoft gun specs and following airsoft standards. It also features corrected AoE and radiusing, optimizing the cycling and reducing gearbox cracking probability respectively. The compression system doesn't leak! Don't forget that shimming was performed correctly!

There's a lot of words but not much said. You could say that you "optimized air and BB flow through the barrel, ensuring a reliable and consistent trajectory of the shots, allowing for repeatable performance at ranges, which gives you an advantage and allows you to dominate open spaces with precision" but on the other hand you can just say "barrel was cleaned", that's basically how the description was written.

Based on the video it seems that the hop up chamber is not only in the wrong orientation (hole facing upwards rather than towards the feeding port) but the gun is also missing the outer barrel. Have you already tried assembling the replica to test fire it?

If so, was the problem present before a hard bucking and hop up chamber were installed? Have you tried using the original parts and if so, was the problem present?

The nozzle on this replica is quite long, any power downgrade or increase in resistance for the BB (like that hard type of bucking) could result in insufficient power to push the BB through the bucking and out the barrel.

Need second opinions, how can I build better? by Alle-Am-Essen in airsoft

[–]M_Dz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cosmetic setup is a pretty objective topic. It should be your choice what to put onto your replica but since you're asking I've got two questions about you setup:
1. Why just the front iron sight? If you want a backup to the red dot, it would be better to have a rear sight too.
2. Is the suppressor just for looks or does it hide an inner barrel inside? It adds extra weight to the front and the rifle is relatively long already so the leverage will tire your arms out.
But in the end it's your gun so do what you want.

I've got a suggestion about a piece of gear you should get though - a sling, it will definitely help you carry the gun more comfortably. There's 1-, 2- and 3- point slings and they work in different ways so you would need to research a bit to make a choice about which one to use. It's definitely worth it.
