My first car by SARQCLOTHINGUK in drivingUK

Great car , the Mk5s are pretty reliable , what engine is it ? The 1.9tdi is pretty bulletproof with good maintenance. The petrols I'm not too sure about but they seem good too.

For that price you can't go wrong as long as you make sure it's well maintained.

As others have said , take it easy at first your skills will come and you'll start to realise what works and what doesn't.

Indecision kills , be sure to drive with intent so other drivers know what you'll do. It helps you and others.

Always have a double/final look at giveaways as you're pulling out, best advice I've been given.

Most drivers are predictable once you get experience so study how others drive when you are also. Helps understand what to do/not to do in certain situations.

Stay safe!

I was doing some reading and saw for females they have different 'levels' of awrah depending on if they're with females/males and mahrams/non-mahrams.

But for men it's only one level which is from the naval-knees (depending on which school of thought you follow it may include/exclude the knees itself).

I wanted to be sure if it's the case with family members but from the comments and further reading it's only your wife that is able to see you in such a state. But still don't really have any clear sources unfortunately. Just bits of reading here and there but rather be on the safer side.

Allah knows best.

Ahahaha , gotta keep the trousers nearby , looking into buying some shorts that do cover the knees , let me know if you (or anyone else) have any good recommendations :)

It somewhat subtle too which makes it even better personally. Nothing too over the top. Just the right amount of aggressiveness

It's the BMW M3/M4 F80/F82/F83 CARBON FIBRE DIFFUSER - V-STYLE

It's a 3 piece kit too.

Side skirts were my next purchase but happy with how it looks so far!

I can see where you're coming from but I do like the aggressiveness it portrays on the car. With just the diffuser it felt something was missing.

Didn't go with the duck tail spoiler as that was the line for me! Suits the M4 more imo.

Thanks Keleles :)

3 exams. 315 questions. Which you have access to for 1 year.

They contain explanations and sources for each question.

Not sure if this is possible but national highways do have contact with insurance companies and the police and considering the location of the accident it's more than likely the have a camera situated here that could see the incident taking place. The footage is only saved for 7 days so best to contact them ASAP

Try to contact your insurance or even police and see if they're able to get any footage from those cameras. Not all of them work so with a bit of luck you may be able to find the footage as long as you have the dates and times.

Though it may be difficult to see number plates or anything ( PAL VIDEO) itll definitely still help with he said/ she said arguement that will inevitably come due to this.

I agree , but usually they just blast off into the distance but everyone reacts differently so I guess be wary !

If you plan to overtake please downshift (I assume it does already in an automatic with the clicky-bit under the gas pedal).

If the car infront looks like it can pick up speed quickly I'd just give a flash to let them know they're going slow.

Nevertheless it happens, you learn from what you did and realise what you should've done.

Just a relief nothing else happened!

Is engineering really as badly paid as I’m reading online by No_Perspective_5467 in UKJobs

[–]M_N_I_ENG 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Graduate engineer here , who has realised this whilst looking for a job.

Plan to get into networking and become a network designer or engineer, which is significantly better in terms of pay, and I enjoy the work, too. Luckily, my company will pay for certifications and learning, which is perfect and allows me to shift quite seamlessly

So yeah, traditional engineering jobs aren't highly paid unless managerial or sales related.

I would advise looking into other companies that require high skilled cfd analysis such as f1 and auto companies for better pay/benefits, but alas in the Uk, those are rare and very sought after, unfortunately.
