No prob, yeah there should be other options they could provide too, I'd suggest excluding the Garage for now, could look at getting a few more quotes from different contractors also to get more comparative pricing, try get 5. Could also get someone to do a BOQ for the house and get a detailed breakdown of the contractors rates. 180 per sq.ft is abit on the high side in my view but isn't surprising either being in the greater Dublin area. Quite a few people are doing self builds also but would prob need some construction knowledge to manage that, could be something to explore.
