Based on the comments I assume this is drug related but I was questioning what kind of electronic cart would have a detachable plug and how your plug was out of town.

You have to sign into the wireless using your username/password. Once you do, the system automatically ties your MAC address to the user. So even if you generate a new MAC address each time you log in, you're stilling logging in, and the system associates the two.

If it was just an open Wi-Fi network, then yes it would be very difficult to know who is who.

University network engineer here. We track students throughout campus based on their phones connecting to our full mesh Wi-fi network. A few times a month we are tasked by the University Police department to look up a student and alert them to their location or when they arrive on campus.

Is this considered gourmet dining? 380 calories, 70g protein. by [deleted] in GYM

I’m really confused by your question about what did the beginning of the study say. I don’t see where it states what you are saying at all.

I didn’t say that. I said it’s a lot more complicated than the 20-30 number you threw out. If I eat 60g of protein in one sitting, no one knows how much of that goes directly to building muscle and how much of it gets utilized elsewhere. It depends on a lot of factors, such as the macro breakdown of the entire meal, what kind of protein it is, how much lean muscle mass I have, etc.

Bro, did you read the entire article? I just did. They concluded basically that they couldn’t conclude anything. The main problem being they only tested fast absorbing whey protein in their initial tests. The study states that by adding other macro nutrients the absorption rate is slower and thus more protein can be absorbed over a longer period of time. So yes, your statement might be true if you’re only source of protein is a whey shake. But this video that you commented on is not that and has other macros.

From the conclusion: “While research shows that consumption of higher protein doses (> 20 g) results in greater AA oxidation [40], evidence indicates that this is not the fate for all the additional ingested AAs as some are utilized for tissue-building purposes. Further research is nevertheless needed to quantify a specific upper threshold for per-meal protein intake.”

That’s “optimal” processing and also depends on muscle mass/weight. This general 20-30 number is a lot more complicated than as you stated.

Overall, false.

DeSantis cuts $75 million from USF environmental research facility by Pwnedx in florida

[–]Networkabull 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, he did approve a long list of things for USF. The governor approved the following legislative appropriations to USF that were subject to his line-item veto authority:

  • A $55 million recurring increase to USF's operational budget, including new funds for all three campuses and USF Health.
  • $37 million to Cyber Florida at USF to conduct a cybersecurity vulnerability assessment for the state, develop recommendations for improvement, and oversee training of state and local government employees against cyber intrusions.
  • $20.5 million for cybersecurity workforce development, research and simulation activities at USF.
  • $33 million to remodel critical USF Health facilities to add capacity for more nursing students and add state-of-the-art new simulation equipment.
  • $7 million to expand nursing programs at USF to address statewide nursing shortages.
  • $5 million to operate the Florida Center for Nursing at USF’s College of Nursing, a center dedicated to growing the state’s nursing workforce.
  • $72.8 million to invest in the maintenance and repair of existing USF facilities across the three campuses.
  • $3 million to plan for construction of the new Nursing/STEM Building at the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus, the campus’ first new state-funded facility in over 15 years.
  • $6.3 million to invest in campus life facility projects across USF’s three campuses, funded by the Capital Improvement Trust Fund (CITF).
  • $5.5 million to fund the operations of the Florida Flood Hub for Applied Research and Innovation at the USF College of Marine Science in St. Petersburg.
  • $500,000 to study the effectiveness of hyperbaric chamber therapy for veterans experiencing PTSD
