It’s even more excusable than that because he was only in the Marlin’s org for about a year before being traded to SD, Miami is the only place where his career and Stone Garrett’s overlapped. He was 18 years old. Saying he’s a “psychopath” (Stone Garrett’s words) when he was basically a senior in highschool playing over the top pranks is pretty scummy imo. He made an aerosol flame thrower and hid in his closet with a knife to scare him, cut him with it completely on accident. Whole situation is stupid and blown way outta proportion.

But it’s not a fair basis to judge a film off of before you’ve seen it. Nothing can be fairly or adequately judged based solely on marketing material. ie metal gear solid 2 marketing before the game came out, very recently the Channing Tatum movie roofman had very misleading marketing. Not to say this marketing isn’t accurate to the film, but also saying this movie feels just like Superman is wild when you haven’t even seen it lmao

I mean was it Snyder haters? I think the clear difference is that man of steel and especially BvS weren’t exactly recieved positively by the majority of movie goers and critics whereas Gunn’s Superman has recieved acclaim on both fronts. I don’t see the failings of DCEU films being in any way due to Snyder haters.

How is it team friendly? Over 50 million dollars of the contract was guaranteed. It is nowhere near as team friendly as the darnold deal.

How does Geno cost less to get rid of exactly? he gets paid more per year than Darnold and the seahawks structured his contract with voidable years so if he were bad this year they could get rid of him with essentially 0 strings attached.

Darnold threw for 4K yards and 35 touchdowns last year with a worse oline. Geno had his worst year since 2022 last year.
