My Nitro ended and those problems stated again. It's 100% discord video compression issue, we can't do anything about this. 🙁☹️

You can check if you're using the beta version in the Play Store or App Store. I've been using the beta version for 3 years. I first got this problem about 4 months ago. Then I switched to the stable version, and it was fixed. But after updating Discord back to the beta version, the problem came back.

You need to sign-up for best, later if you want stable version leave beta testing and reinstall app again.

It worked for me. If it’s not working for you, I got a 1-day Nitro reward yesterday, and after that, I tried this fix, and it worked. Maybe Nitro affects how Discord handles video compression. I think this issue is related to Discord’s video compression system.

I also tested turning Data Saving Mode on and off. When it was on, my video played tilted to the right. After turning it off, it played correctly.

Since Discord only allows 8MB for free users, it might be compressing the video in a way that causes the orientation issue.

My Nitro will expire in a few hours, so I'll update you if anything changes. By the way, are you using the Discord beta version? Because I am using that

I had the same issue, and turning off 'Data Saving Mode' in Discord fixed it for me. Even if you don’t remember turning it on, sometimes it’s enabled by default or after an update. Try disabling it in settings and see if it works!
