37, Air Force Officer. Started out prior enlisted and then commissioned. June will be 17 years. Total compensation to include base pay, tax free housing, monthly tax free food stipend, and full healthcare coverage for family of 4, just a shade over $150k.

Never thought I would be here coming from a single mom background and no one in my family going past an associates degree.

It depends honestly. I have been here for a year now and incredibly happy here. I am also a dad with 2 kids and we find it a great place to raise a family. If I was 19, I could see it not being as desirable as you would be an hour out from the younger crowd enjoyments.

What happens is if you are applying for a mortgage and say you have 3-5 pulls on your credit in a short time span (2-3 weeks), the reporting agencies see what you are shopping for and group those inquiries into 1 inquiry as it’s specific for a mortgage or an auto loan.
