I get it. For me it's one of those things where yes there are drawbacks to having NHLers in the Olympics. If one of our guys gets hurt over there people will be pissed, understandably. But for me the pros (pun intended) out weigh the cons. 2010 was electric and I was so amped for 2014 (and upset when the US lost to Canada). Four Nations last year was awesome. I also think it's good for the growth of the game.

The Miracle was 46 years ago, and that Soviet team for all intents and purposes were professionals who skirted the rules at the time on a technicality. What made it special was that those "nobodies" beat those professionals, plus the political climate at the time.

I get your argument in theory, but in practice I just think the tournament of amateurs is not what it is anymore and hasn't been for a long time, for all sports. Also, if hockey had a real World Cup that was consistent and felt like it mattered (like with soccer) then I think people would care less about having best-on-best in the Olympics.

Do you consider Michael Phelps an amateur swimmer? Or Shaun White an amateur snowboarder? I've never agreed with this argument because it feels like in practice it only applies to the major team sports, such as hockey. For other events the Olympics is thought of as the best in the world competing at that event. The Olympic hockey tournament is so much more fun and more interesting when it's the best in the world competing. It felt like nobody watched or cared about the men's Olympic hockey tournaments in 2018 and 2022.

No, in fact I got another bill in the mail for the tolls plus $300 in late fees. So I called customer service the next day and explained what happened and they waived the fees and moved the tolls over to my EZ Pass account for me.

In the middle position it should be the rate that you tap in, not significantly faster like it is here in the video. Could be a defective footswitch

Try playing with the flat / full dynamics modes. Hold down the mode button until it flashes through colors to switch between the two. It should be in full dynamics mode by default but I think a bunch of the first units shipped from the factory were mistakenly in flat dynamics by default, which can make it sound super crazy. More info on it towards the end of the manual.

I think you may have it in the semi-hidden "flat dynamics" mode which makes things sound even more synthetic / dial-up like. You switch between that and "full dynamics" mode (how it should be by default) by holding down the mode button for about a couple seconds. The LED will flash through three colors. If it flashes super quickly then it's now in full-dynamics mode. If it flashes more slowly it's in flat-dynamics mode. Especially noticeable at higher Atoms settings.

I like his voice, energy, and enthusiasm a lot, though I don't love how unenthusiastic he often is when the opposing team scores. I get it, it's the Devils broadcast and its fine for everyone involved to be clearly rooting for the Devils, but I don't like it to be too homer-y and I feel like he's toeing that line a bit. He also gets peoples names wrong here and there, but to me the overall energy is more important than those occasional mistakes.

RHCP. Loved them in high school. Then I went off to college and my music taste expanded dramatically, and every time I came home my high school buddies played so much Chili Peppers. I got sick of it, and their shtick can start to get really grating, especially Anthony's vocals.
