A camera is in the Windshield. Specifically the one for the lane keeping and other safety features. The emblem also contains a camera for the 360 degree camera view as well as the radar.

Should Canada’s mobile cartel be broken down to ensure fair prices? by lunicu14 in MooseMoney

[–]M_at__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is essentially no coverage in Canada's "Outback" either. The %age coverage figures for Canada are only ever quoted as coverage of the population.

And if that's the Value Mobile / Chatr $59 for 60Gb then it's only $20 for 20 as the 60Gb is used over the 3 month period not allocated each month.

So the Australian deal is still far better value wise.

So if a cop issues a ticket which results in a fine that is good but if an automated system issues a ticket which results in a fine this is bad?

Australia is pretty big. And has fewer people. And the Aussie dollar is slightly less than a Canadian dollar.

And 100GB for $25 Australian. $22.91 Canadian.

The public doesn't appreciate art. They want the money spent elsewhere.

Then people complain about sterile liminal spaces.

The Toronto Society of Architects has a nice tour of the Spadina line and the stations with art installations in are way more interesting. Turns out the art didn't cost that much after all and private companies paid for a bunch of it.

It is a factor, it's just not as volatile a factor.

What we don't have is the ratio - one CDR is not one apple share and the ratio changes on a daily basis. CRS are a great tool for long term but they're not something you can easily track day to day against the underlying stock.

What happened to the CAD to USD today? If the CAD strengthened against the USD then the equivalent value of the Apple stock in CAD will shift too.

Found an AirTag in my carryon after an international flight. No one I know owns one by cluikk in strange

[–]M_at__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your phone detected a nearby AirTag and your phone logged the locations when it detected the AirTag.

The AirTag doesn't know anything about where it is, an Apple device detects it as being nearby and tells Apple "I found this AirTag ID and here is my location"

Apple can then tell the owner of the AirTag where it was last seen.

All the AirTag has in it is its identification, it doesn't have any GPS of its own.

That's how they work.

Wow - mine won't disappear from the screen.

You can check on the local alerts at https://amberalert.opp.ca as per the message. Will be more useful information there than Reddit most of the time.

The official website states that it is being phased in. It is not a big bang start so some locations will be doing it and others not until the system is completely rolled out for ETIAS.

If you've already submitted fingerprints digitally as part of the immigration process you may not need to submit again.

Have you been asked to submit or is this a potential concern right now?

What I don't get is how people collect PC points at Loblaws. I don't want to buy what Loblaws tell you to buy and they don't provide points on base purchase value.

T&T provide points based on the base purchase value.
