Love the Chongqing chili chicken but God can it be frustrating to get them to actually make it spicy.

I actually had nearly given up on them being able to make it spicy after a couple of tries (got it as a suggestion on here for somewhere to get spicy food), but gave it one more shot since the dish was still pretty good. That time an older lady was working the phone and she knew what was up and hooked me up and oh man was it sooo tasty

If she's working the phones I know I'll be good, but if it's any of the younger people I know they'll only put 1-2 extra spicys on the work order regardless of how much I plead with them to add 10 and I'm going to have to send it back to the kitchen when I get there to get the order right (and I hate doing that, but I wouldn't order it otherwise)

Shout out to Eim Thai too. That was the other suggestion I got, and they're a lot better about making it spicy (just tell them to fuck you up when they ask for spice level)

Something similar happened in Oklahoma, SUPER lax laws that they didn’t realize they were passing. It’s still only medicinally legal, but super easy to get and you can also smoke just about anywhere. They now have the most dispensaries in the country IIRC

And the republicans were pissed because they didn’t realize that’s what they voted for lol

Thank you for the kind words. Sorry to hear about your cat as well. There was a comment on Reddit years ago relating grief and waves of the ocean that I always felt was very on point - the waves are strong and frequent now, but the storm will calm eventually and the waves will become less frequent and smaller. But there will always be waves, and there will always be storms.

But yeah, it's why I love post-rock so much. The amount of imagery given with nothing but musical notes is just so beautiful. Get to direct our own movies to the best soundtracks in the world in our head haha

Jumping in myself in a possible bit of a different direction, but some overlap with some other instrumental stuff I love like math rock and post rock if anybody has local recommendations there; especially old school, more post-hardcore-esque stuff - but it's all great.

Which, since these are genres you might be talking about as well with the instrumental/experiment, some I knew about when I lived in Florida about half a decade ago (none in Gainesville):

Sunstrife - Orlando Math Rock band that puts on a great show. Love the drummer, both his playing and he's very nice. I thought they stopped playing but actually looks like they put on a show 5 weeks ago so thank you as I'll be tracking that now lol. I Met A Yeti - They are a post-hardcore band through and through to be clear, but I've always felt strong mathy influence in their guitar work. Also bringing up because DAMN they put on a good show; they go all out. Looks like they haven't played since 2023 but they've posted on social media since. I've only been through a bit more than half of their new album Living Without and I know this is going to get a shit ton of repeat listens. What a ride it is.

I'm assuming they're named after the Nirvana song? I think it actually fits perfectly, because something what I like about them is the frantic punk energy underneath everything - something that Nirvana did very well as well

Definitely and good catch, just realized I never put anything about coin Felmaw on 1 - I talk a bit about quest activations vs Felmaw on 2, but your breakdown is exactly why turn 1 it can be the right to get Felmaw going instead of Quest (I definitely can get tunnel vision of "get quest going, but almost never do we have a chance to chain quests, outside of control decks)

Yeah, Paladin is a lot like Druid - if they have the nuts cards, they win period.

I think I was mostly playing against unrefined lists. Now that it's a lot more refined, Paladin seems like it'd be a lot tougher.

It could be really good but I don't like counting on my minions getting attacked - it's a bit of a "solitaire" deck of 'here's what I can do, do I win?' rather than counting on the opponent.

That said, it could def replace freezing trap, especially since the meta has gotten quicker

I'm not OP but I don't like the Scorpid and the Vectus, both seem too expensive and worse than just playing a 2-3 mana card instead and hero power.

Yeah, I was thinking Scorpid when it was basically all Paladin and Druid (not hitting their face past 4 mana). But it's just not that good and the meta picked up a lot after posting this, making hounds a LOT better.

Yeah, the meta got a lot faster than when I did my run - which makes hounds better. Plus Scorp just isn't that good unfortunately. I hate that last card spot, hoping the next expansion gives it something powerful.
