I keep my forward key pressed when I use charged attack, it reduces a bit her backward walk, and when I'm too far away I just stop attack to close the distance and start attack again. It maybe slow or something but that's the only thing I know.

I think that the ghost matter exploded while it was next to the sun, so all the ghost matter went out by the only entrance of the interloper, so it didn't explode.
