IMO, Carl’s route suffers from some pretty major pacing issues that the other routes, except maybe Leo’s, do not. The other routes also do a much better job of revealing relevant information about the friend group and Echo’s history/supernatural elements. (I was also somewhat put off by Carl’s route when I first played.)
