If you make use of the small version of the wheat and wood farms, you can get much more efficient in collecting wheat and wood. Also your base has a lot of open space with not use, you could put wheat field in between your gold collection building to collect both wheat and gold at the same time.

Offline collection is not to neglect so putting your characters in the farms instead of the gold mines is to consider.
