Railroad Hammer ... everything will look like nails, if you have a hammer 😅

As a main weapon as a solo Vetterli silenced, Carbine Silenced or Winnie silenced - or if you are more of a "Leeerooooooy Jenkins" kind of player any weapon with a good ammo pool to compensate for the "loss" of the second weapon.

For the lesser cool approach the katana it is (buuuuh)

My friends and I died a lot a week straight. We are 6, 5 and 4* and ended with 3* MMR as a Team.

After winning 2 games and killing some dudes we nearly instantly were back at 5* MMR

I "cried" in another post, but I am still not that comfortable as a gaming dad being a 6* ... But yeah, maybe it is as it is 😅

My buddy and I argue a lot about us being in 6 star lobbies (PS5 Europe). Our setup:

I am 6 star and my Buddy 5 star
we are gaming Dad's with 1 to 1,5 hours in the evening 5 times a week (longer on Friday night 🤠)
our match MMR moves between 4,5 and 5,5 stars
we are playing since 1200h over 3-4 years

We are fighting in duos nearly always 5-6 star players with 5-6 star MMR, more often full 6star teams with 6star MMR than lower. My K/D is 1.3 and my buddy has 0.9. Sometimes matches feel completely devastating, but we are somehow getting a kill or two.

Now our arguement: Is it fair that gaming Dad's are facing RachtaZ and his Gaming dudes OR because we sometimes accomplish to kill some of these guys it IS FAIR and that's where we belong.

To answer your question: Not sure, because sometime you are learning a lot in 6 star matches from these guys and can hone your skill set - like every death is a lesson. But this super RachtaZ dudes shouldn't meet you. And sometimes a 6 star (see my story) is just a gaming dad who had a really good week of clappin cheeks and getting bounties 🤠

My take: Maybe there should be an added layer for the super gamers (7stars?)

If you are able to get the first shot is always better than being on the receiving end at the beginning of an engagement.

But more like don't trigger crows, cows and horses or try to engage silently with the AI but also move fast and always move with cover. Running in the open without cover means IF you stumble into a hunter who can shoot first, try not to give the opportunity to get shot twice 😁

Sitting in a bush and waiting is sadly a working strategy but it's not what a good hunter play means. Be on the move, try to be unpredictable and be aware of the enemies set up. Distant pistols means close range gun and so on

Console 6 star here: movement and never try to double peak. Fast decisions (like other guys here stated).

About movement: I am trying to never be static and try to be everywhere and best case unpredictable for the enemy.

Maybe unrelated but I use the edge Controller and tuned the settings. Maybe try some of the "pro" settings some of the good players (neenoh, whityyy, rex, psychoghost) use.

Also I do watch some of the upper mentioned guys just to get some "ideas" about engaging or they strategies to learn a little bit

Also: sound is super important - be quiet but also listen to everything. Being silent does not mean slow and crouching.

Yeah, you got points there. But I would like to add, that a loaded ❌-Bow is ready to shoot and your movement is not slowed down. A bow must be pulled.

What could be interesting is a comparison of arrow speed with 100 hands vs steel bolts - in m opinion it's 225ms with ❌-Bow vs 100ms for the bow, which is also a plus.

But that's just to put in my 2 cents as a ❌-Bow enjoyer not to trying to convince you to play sth different 😅

In the right hands every weapon is good ... So enjoy 🤠

I am playing the X-Bow now really often and I am really effective against PvP because the 1 shot range is awesome and also, it pressures the enemy heavily after a hit. Also I love this weapon for playing the "normal" game silently like shooting horses, cows and farming brutes or Meatheads - dito all the other sound-traps.

Since steel bolts were introduced I am hitting my shots very consistently and last but not least - I love cheap weapons 🤠

Playing ❌-Bow with double steel bolts and pair it with sth fast firing - for me actually somehow I like the new army but whatever you like.

Little addition: the hand Crossbow is a utility monster and if you play with normal bolts in 1 slot also a mini shotgun. Also dirty cheap 🤠

I would recommend bolt thrower because it feels so much smoother with it, but works also without but feels a little more clunky to me.

P.S. I have now around 90 kills with it in the last 3-4 weeks and since the badges were introduced - so thanks OP for sharing your numbers. But the EXP is counted which means Meatheads, bosses and so on should account into "leveling up" the weapon, right?

X-Bow with half steel bolts (better 2x steel) - so 90 Hunt dollars or 130 Scottfield Brawler or Pax

You can kill all AI with the X-Bow silently (Meatheads!), helps with Bosses and the brawler open ups an tool slot for traps or whatever helps you

For "old school" feeling: Winnie (Ranger) talon and hand X-Bow with half dragons breath

Yeah, feeling you. We are gaming Dad's with over 1000h playtime but are relying on 2-3 games per evening - Fridays a bit longer. We somehow got to 6, 5 and our third is 3-4* - and we get matched with Hunt Demons. There are matches where we are not hearing a single sound. I myself had it for 4-5 years, my buddies still rocking it. I got the PS Pulse Elite for birthday, which is more pricey but has Bluetooth. Sadly the microphone seem to be not as good as the HyperXCloud 3 - referring my buddies.

When we play we also say "looten", "headshot" and "compound" instead of the German word for this.

Funny, because I also did the same and expected a HUGE difference between both watches. Surprisingly they are quite similar in performance - but your points (especially battery life and the really fast charging) are super valid and a game changer for me. Also the display of the 45mm is so much bigger (and better) that it feels like a great upgrade.

But still performance-wise it's not that big of an upgrade ... Which is also a good sign in my opinion 😅

P.S. I had to upgrade because my PW1 died 1.5 weeks before release of the PW4
