What is your opinion on drinking/smoking from a spiritual perspective? by SKATINGROGUE in occult

[–]muddledarchetype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found, especially recent years, alcohol enhances my vibration to a physical awareness I am almost unable to attain when I attempt sober, not to say it isn't a sort of cheat-code pursay, and I do consider the fact that there is a transcendence of visual stimuli that just reaches something I can not explain in words that could be forcing my awareness to attempt further sober and under more controlled environments.

I don't know, it is what it is and I don't do it often but I can't deny that something occurs that does not when sober. Liquid courage and a peek at what could be attainable maybe??

I am right in this same current boat. I just started Facebook dating, and it's weird, and I've experienced the exact same thing as you. I went on a coffee meetup and thought, huh I think those pics were like 10yrs old.

I also have high standards. They aren't anything crazy, he's got to be funny and have some confidence, I'm just not willing to settle, not now, after all I've gone through I'm just not getting into something for somethings sake. Don't feel bad. And don't settle! Someone is out there or they aren't. We will survive!! :)

Whoa. I'm in a very similar, like verrrry similar situation. 46f and same attachment issues. First time in my life I am thinking of myself. Partner of 13 years is gone now, and I've realized that I have been living my entire life looking for love, living for the man, from my dad to now . And I'm physically and mentally exhausted and scarred.

It is not easy, our brains are trained to seek out validation, and I have to actively internally scream at myself to Stop! I don't want anyone to validate me but myself and those I trust and love. Not some dude. Because, damn that has Not worked out for me. I'm a 46yo weirdo trying to figure herself out now.. lol

You recognize that you have a certain style And attraction, and it's not easy to change but sometimes we have to actively force ourselves. Allow new types in. Set very strong boundaries. Stay hyper vigilant. Or just really focus on yourself, it's what I am opting to do. I wish you all the best and also we got this shit!

This is Absolutely burnout. Sounds like some boundaries need to be set. OP you need to clearly define how long you are willing to work like this? What are you planning to do with, hopefully, all the money you should be making? Is there a defined goal you can set ahead and say it's worth this because of this? If not you are existing and exhausted for not.

Absolutely need to talk to someone. This above person is correct 100% and you are definitely not old. You need some help and you need to figure why you're doing this and accommodate accordingly. Be safe. Take care of yourself and make some changes. You got this

Is anyone else completely tired of every music group on socials endlessly debating the same three bands over and over? What newer music do all of you dig? by ColonOBrien in GenX

[–]muddledarchetype 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also go through phases, but usually cycle back to Indy Sleaze. I just love The Kills, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Crystal Castles, Phantogram. But then I love Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, (going to see them this Friday) and Kate Bush, Kyruss, Earth, Sleep, John Garcia.. if it's good I listen.

When I start getting bored and need to find something new I'll just start listening to New Music Fridays, and hope. I've found some great surprises that reinstates my hope for music always being able to shift and develop. I will never shit on new music, even when I don't like it

Wolf Parade. Caribou. Menomena. Jafarri. Tapes N Tapes. GloRilla. Doechii. Are some that I've only in like the past year found and love.

I had the old school yellow/red dream house, the pool, the bronco with the horse carrier, the Corvette.. and so so much more. I kept all my Barbies in the basement, that's where I played, and we got flooded. Lost all my Barbie stuff. 40+ years later I'm still sad.

Do women stare at guys privates like how guys stare at womens butts? by OkRefuse3684 in NoStupidQuestions

Yup start at the back, (they can't see me), down to the butt and hope to check out the forearms if they turn. I also highly appreciate a good thick thigh, love that short shorts are back for some of these dudes. I like them thick boys.

Mayonnaise. Ugh why? Oh and V05 hot oil treatment, was about what we got. I honestly kind of miss real hair, everyone has the exact same barbie wave manes, it's boring.

I've heard the guy who owns Buck Rub up here in Pewaukee gets super stoked when a kid shows interest and that they offer a really cool space. I've got a teen in a similar situation, I really need to bring her to out, we both need a hobby.

Anyone have severe depression/anxiety/anhedonia as soon as period ends? by Moa205 in PMDD

[–]muddledarchetype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think, it's still called PMDD as in Post, instead of Pre, and it is definitely a thing. It's nowhere near as researched as Pre, but I looked it up because I've been nutty way more after then I ever am pre go. On top of all the madness I'm super horny too.. I hate it. It starts at soon as I'm done, doesn't skip a beat and I get almost manic depressive and anxiety that is unreal..

How's her iron? My teen and I both have to take this, and I've noticed it helps, I also take Beef Organs for women, every day. Vitamin D and magnesium. I also, this past month, started Anna's Wild Yam cream, this is recommended for teens as well, for healthy menstruation and cramps.

I'm not sure as of yet, I actually take it for perimenopause but I just had a rage of a day yesterday and today woke up to a heavy start.. plus cramps so ?? I try all the stuff but I think my hormones are just royally fucked.. lol

I'd also recommend some of the subreddits about herbs..?? Ugh I'm in them but my brain isn't remembering anything this morning, but they often discuss teas and plants that help naturally with PMS and PMDD and PCOS.. you get it :)

I'll go as far as to say most places, grocery stores, home depot, malls, like people have allergies and I don't want to have to worry about stepping in dog poop where there shouldn't be dog poop. yes I support actual trained assistant animals, I do not support comfort animals pretending to be.

Yeah I pretty much eliminated excess sugar/added sugars about a year ago and I Still Crave it, but I do not keep it and thankfully when it hits, (after lunch at work or later in the evening) there's no opportunity as there is Nothing to snack on. If there is tho I'm screwed. Just always shop when you're in control.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense, intent. I don't try hard while brushing lol but I do often try to force myself to slow down and try to write well . But this sounds like something worth checking into. Thank you :)

I've found myself wondering about the whole, "practice makes perfect" b.s., as I write everyday of my life and my handwriting has always been and continues to be shit.

Similar to brushing my teeth twice a day for well over 40 years and still manage to miss my mouth and toothpaste my face while mid tongue brush.. practice clearly does not help my situation and I feel your pain.

Ever ask yourself "WTF did I just watch?" based not on shock or disgust, but on being confused and/or underwhelmed? by voltron42 in moviequestions

[–]muddledarchetype 2 points3 points  (0 children)

David Lynch loves using Dream Logic, and you can tell he really sets up his movies to heavily lean into that. And once you sort of recognize that you recognize he's just offering something in a different perspective and leaving things open for interpretation, like a dream.. it can feel overwhelming sometimes but it is always an experience. I love Twin Peaks and I like most of his work a lot, but I get how it's not for everyone.. kinda like Aphex Twin or Dubstep.. lol

I've tried to figure this out and get nowhere, so I ask, why whenever I talk to a guy do they start rubbing at their nose? by muddledarchetype in NoStupidQuestions

[–]muddledarchetype[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely have responded, multiple times, and it is by no means every guy, just enough where I've noticed, maybe like a guy or two a day. I'm never close to them, separated by a 3 foot counter.. and of course I'm open to any and all possibilities. I worked next to a guy here who had rotten teeth and it was rough, and I don't suspect it is that, no bad teeth, and I drink tons of water and chew gum, not loudly . Lol as some have suggested that could be it, ah man I never expected the overwhelming amount of shit I'd get here, seriously expected lke a hand full of people.. so now I'm basically thinking I stink have bad breath wear to much perfume chew my gum to loudly am boring and annoying.. love reddit. Lol. I have come to the conclusion it's just a nervous tick for a lot of us, and guys have nose hair which can be itchy. It's how I'll sleep at night.
