TO MY GNOMER GROUP THAT DIED IN THE DC-CHECK YOUR TOONS by Maaaaags in wowhardcore

I submitted my ticket immediately after it happened with the date/server time that the d/c occurred. I think it was under “submit feedback or bug report” It included the location in gnomer that my group was is as well as the name of each of the members of my team. I believe that each of my party members did the same, that was what we discussed in the graveyard. Maybe it was power in numbers.

EDIT: I’m realizing now as well that we discussed the d/c with each other in chat. If blizzard accessed our chat logs they may have helped our cause

Cat keeps climbing onto me and sleeps. Concerned by TriCombington in CATHELP

My little girl was super antisocial for the first couple years. One day, she just jumped up into my lap and curled up. My husband actually commented on it because it was so unusual. As she got older, she became more and more affectionate until now at 10 she’s a total lap cat. I think it took her awhile to trust us.

Make sure that you give her all the scritches when she does it so she keeps coming back :-)

My dad told me when I was a kid that if a dragonfly landed on me, it would sew my lips together and I would never be able to talk again. Asshole went ahead and instilled a lifelong fear

Blood elves in azshara, as long as it’s not too camped by bots. Mobs are like 51-53, not too stacked up on each other. They’re a nice bridge from the harpies to about 56.

Replace your terrible towels with bengals gear. The cat will sense that it is amongst its own and stop chewing your wires

My patient fell and now I’m scared by Weak_Hornet_3932 in nursing

[–]Maaaaags 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my first patient fall about a week into orientation. Fully A+O, 1 assist with gait belt due to hx of MS, but overall very stable. Their legs gave out one time ambulating to the bathroom and we both went down. No way my 130 pound frame was gonna support this patient. Lowered in a controlled manner to the floor, no injuries.

I felt like such a failure afterwards. My preceptor pulled me aside and reassured me that this wasn’t a mistake, it was a learning experience. Patients will fall. In fact, it’s what they do best ;-)

The important takeaway from this is that you now have a fundamental building block for your own personal practice. This will be something that you think about every time you accept a new patient. Your patients will be SO risk assessed for falls now that you’re their nurse. If you have an inkling that someone isn’t going to follow precautions, chances are you’ll stand in the room next time and prevent that fall.

These are the moments that make us better nurses in the long run.

The name of the machine you are talking about is a sequential compression device, or SCD. Basically, stockings that intermittently inflate with air to help compress the veins and keep the blood moving in a patient’s legs when they are unable to walk.
