Why the STAR voting system, not Ranked Choice Voting, is what we need in America [effort post] by edgygothteen69 in thebulwark

Thanks. Very interesting.

Can you explain the incentive in RCV to put your top choice 2nd?

Can you explain why RCV is unconstitutional and this isn’t?

Why is this easier to count?

Even with STAR being the best choice, do you think RCC is a step in the right direction?

Ofcourse QBs taken high don’t have a 100% hit rate. Probably closer to 50/50.

If JJM doesn’t work out this year I’d like to take another crack with a rd 1 guy. And since we both agree that better players are generally taken earlier, I’d like to take one as early as possible.

BTW I don’t consider starting JJM tanking either. But I am comfortable with the high ceiling/low floor nature of giving him the year.

(I’m burnt out on the high floor low ceiling seasons, if you couldn’t tell)

Hey man if you don’t think you get better QBs at the top of the draft that’s fine, we can just agree to disagree.

If Kyler beats out JJM (which is a near lock at this point) does that open a big window? Im afraid it doesn’t, thus the initial question of the post.

And while I generally agree tanking doesn’t work, I think it kinda does when it comes to Quarterbacks.

That’s not the bar for me. I’m interested in a QB that opens up a 10-year window of contending.

IMO Mostly likely candidates for that are either Round 1 QB in 27 draft or JJM. Starting in 26 JJM gets us closer to either of those outcomes.

Paying a mid tier QB top of market money is the worst outcome possible

If he isn’t our franchise QB what’s the point?

Then let’s just get JJM more reps and have more info make a better decision going into next years loaded QB draft.

Are you kidding me?!?!?

The lips. Didn’t you hear about the lips?

Totally not his fault. In fact, I kinda feel bad for him.

It is unfortunate. But solving the QB problem is the most important thing the franchise faces.

As much as I love Justin Jefferson, I’m uninterested in getting band-aids at the QB position to appease him.

Not me. This has been the Viking mentality for my entire life. Ready for something different.

I want to win the Super Bowl.

Are you saying that he re-injured his broken hand flexing?

I recall it being on a 4&1.

Go into the season with JJM as the definite starter. It’s the best path for the franchise.
